25 TopicsUpdating view-only links in Dropbox Replay
It would be great if you could update videos with in view-only links or if they act like "live" feedback links. At the moment view-only links are locked to the version at which you selected, if there was an another version at the top which said "live" or something similar, which always showed the most up to date video file, but in a view-only setting, that would be perfect.5Views0likes0CommentsDeleting multiple duplicated in a single operation
I often find duplicate photos in several folders using the 'Find duplicates' feature. Currently, I have to delete selected photos from each duplicate set one by one. It would be helpful if I could select all the photos I want to delete across multiple sets and remove them in a single operation. This would make managing duplicates much faster and more efficient.41Views1like1CommentExtraction of the current structure for Folders/Users/grants
Now it's not possible to extract the current structure for Folders/Users/grants. It would be great to have the possibilities for an organization to extract via excel the complete structure of the: folders files users grants (read/write) in order to make easier a reorganization of the information above. And after the review of the information to have the possibility to upload it in order to apply the changes.35Views0likes1CommentComment without Login
I'm sharing photos and videos, as well as production documents with clients and love to get their feedback on the specific file. However, many companies prohibit employees from generating their own Dropbox account, which is needed to comment on the files. How about just having to "sign up" with their Name and Email in order to get notifications? Would love to have an easier way to share files with clients and get their feedback as simple as possible.105Views1like1CommentOption to automatically lock a file.
We constantly have issues with conflicted copies! Yes - even though there is the badge that shows up, and even though file locking is an option if done manually. I've done research and MANY other systems support this feature. I've been a long-time Dropbox user, but am looking aggressively at changing due to this issue. It shouldn't have to be a manual process to prevent someone else from opening the same file I am currently working on and saving a conflicted copy. Who would remember to do a manual file lock each and every time they open a document?!175Views2likes3CommentsSearch and sort through images with facial recognition
I’m in my final year of high school and my cohort has started a Dropbox to compile everyone’s photos for the whole year. I think it would be really cool to be able to say find all the photos of me, or the photo of me and Person A. Similar of like how you can search by people on the Apple photos app. We have hundreds of photos and sorting through them is tedious. I think this could be a really cool idea.2.2KViews25likes12CommentsPDF Bookmarks access
It would be so very helpful to be able to access pdf bookmarks. Our Board of Directors often has a large packet of materials and we use DropBox to store the file for viewing. We prefer DropBox because we can create a link that is not downloadable. However, navigating 1,000 pages is challenging, and bookmarks are so much friendlier and easier than hyperlinks to pages/sections. Especially because I haven't quite figured out the easiest way to add a "back to top" to all pages, in the blink of an eye. I have a very limited time to create my board packet, adding docs at the last minute, or replacing pages even after sent to the board. Bookmarks just work BETTER. Thank you for listening.
