I have the free 2GB version and have 1GB stored on my Dropbox. But on my Iphone settings it shows that Dropbox uses more than 7GB. Even if my Dropbox is empty. I‘ve tried deleting the cache and I have no offline file. On the account settings in Dropbox it shows that Dropbox only uses around 700MB. When I delete the App and install it again it only uses around 250MB. Thank you for taking your time to read this and perhaps helping me out.Solved283Views0likes9CommentsThe iOS/iPad app is reporting that I'm out of device storage
Both the Dropbox app on my iPhone and my iPad are stating I am out of local iPhone storage when I have plenty. I launch app and it says: “To continue using Dropbox, delete some files, photos, or apps from your device. Yet my iPhone 16 Pro Max shows I’m using only 199.09GB of 1.02TB And my iPad Pro shows I’m using only 322.48GB of 2TB.. So not using anywhere near all my storage so not sure why not letting me use the App. Can use fine on MacBook, windows and a Android Phone its only with the iOS Devices :-(230Views0likes7CommentsDropbox app fills up entirely the local iPhone storage
Hello, I have a Dropbox Plus account which I share between my Mac, my Android Galaxy S21 and my wife iPhone SE. I am currently using only 22,1% of the 2 TB on my account. On her iPhone, Dropbox is set-up to upload all her pictures to Dropbox but it keeps filling up the local storage. The iPhone runs IOS 16.2 with Dropbox 310.3. It has 64GB storage. 36 GB are used locally for pictures. The goal is to sync all these pictures to Dropbox in order to reclaim the local space. I tried several times and each time Dropbox ends-up filling up the iPhone local storage with 6.2 GB data! How is it possible? I have read similar threads in this forum and applied the suggested corrective actions without success namely: -clear Dropbox cache -remove Dropbox app -restart iPhone -re-install Dropbox app There is no backup, no offline files set-up on the iPhone. Do you have any suggestion? Currently the presence of the Dropbox app on the iPhone makes the iPhone totally unusable since it runs out of space. It is a quite serious issue! Any suggestion? Hi! Hoping you can help. I have the Dropbox app on my phone and I am in the process of moving my videos from my camera roll to Dropbox. I am doing this purely to try and free up space on my phone. However my question is - does this actually free up space on my phone or does it just basically store them in a different place as my videos have disappeared from my camera roll and are now in dropbox so I’m thinking maybe I’m not actually freeing up any space? Please if someone could help answer my question that would be v helpful!3.4KViews0likes6CommentsMy mobile app shows content that I can't see on the website on my laptop.
Hello, Apologies in advance for asking a basic question but why can I see folders on my mobile app (as well as it showing I have used 800GB of storage), but when I log into the website on my laptop it says I can't see any folders and it says I have used 0GB of storage? Hi all! My iPhone is out of storage and so I’m currently trying to move my pictures into Dropbox. However, I’m getting messages saying my phone has no storage (and therefore, it would seem, can’t perform the operation).. Does that sound right? If so, I’m in a bit of a conundrum, because I can’t delete the photos to free storage on my phone until they’re on Dropbox! Grateful for any input. Thanks!314Views0likes1CommentDropbox takes up 90GB space on my iPhone.

I have Dropbox iOS app and a Plus account with 2TB space. I'm currently uploading all my phones pictures and videos but started getting a message saying my device storage is full. I checked and I have plenty of space on my iPhone. I also noticed that the size of the app on my phone goes up from 1gb to 20gb+ at different times. It looks like an error to me but I'm not sure how to try fix it. I also can't confirm if all my pictures and videos uploaded because the web app is so slow that I can't see what the most recent uploads were. Anyone get a similar message of no storage space when there is some?1.5KViews0likes5Comments
