Multiple Accounts
21 TopicsBeing charged for an account I do not know about
I have been being charged for 3 accounts. One I use, one is a dormant account and one I have no knowledge about. I have tried speaking to dropbox support but they have asked me for a reference which my bank have confirmed is not attached to the transaction. Dropbox have said that there is nothing they can do to trace the amount (my bank has confirmed that Dropbox are the beneficiary). I am worried that they will take another big payment out for this account in September. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance144Views0likes3CommentsNeed help with two accounts under the same email address
I think this is what's going on....I wanted to upgrade my old account-it was full...looked at plans in a new browser page. Paid. Tried to login, was prompted to change my password. I did. Don't remember the old password. But I am now prompted to upgrade my old account and can't login to the new account. So I think I must have 2 accounts under the same email address. Anyway, at this point, I just need to be able to login to both accounts and cancel the plan before 7 days come up. Is there a way to speak to a human to verify what's actually going on in my situation?Solved1.4KViews0likes1CommentI'm paying 432 euros/year for a Dropbox account, but I'm getting errors I'm over-quota.
Hi, I pay 432 euro/year for dropbox account, but receive message that my storage is full. I have only used 2 GB, so am told that I have a basic plan. How is that possible? I would assume that for that amount I should be able to get phone support but I can't get access to any phone number. Any ideas how I can clarify this?64Views0likes2CommentsTeam account cancelled. How can I move all of my content to a different email address?
Our team decided to cancel our team account. I'm using my personal space for all my documents. How can I move all the content to a different email address, which I'd like to upgrade to a paid account? I can't seem to find an easy way.45Views0likes1CommentCan't Look Up a PayPal transaction to see which account I'm getting charged for
I cancelled both of my dropbox plans on two separate accounts several months ago. I am still getting a monthly charge, and I'm not sure where this charge is coming from. I can't use the billing lookup tool because I paid through paypal. The phone numbers on my paypal statement and my credit card statement for dropbox don't work. A help article directed me to request help with billing through the website, but I can't find anything about how to do that once I log in. Could I please hear back from a dropbox representative? I need help using my paypal information to 1) figure out what account is causing this expense and 2) figure out what I need to do to end the recurring subscription cost. It has been several months now that I've been charged for a dropbox account that I'm not using and tried to cancel, and I can't figure out how to contact the company to do so.75Views0likes2CommentsLink personal account to multiple business accounts
Like the title says, I have multiple business accounts as I have two jobs, both of which use Dropbox Business. Fortunately, they both provide me with computers so that I have one business app on each computer. My question is - is it possible to "link my personal account" to both of them? I didn't try this as I don't want to potentially lose access to my files. Thanks.Solved5.9KViews0likes16CommentsDouble Charge on Bank Statement
I have one account. I use the app on my phone from the Apple store and sync my photos for editing on my laptop. I’ve just now noticed I have double charges on my statements. One from Dropbox today 06 Jan 2022 and one on the 03 Jan 2022 so only a few days apart. Why am I being charged twice? I’m just wishing someone can give my money back since I’ve been paying twice. For a few months now.4.6KViews0likes22CommentsLinking Personal and Business accounts - Account types?
I searched the help and forums, but couldn't quite find the answer to my question. My wife has a long-held Dropbox Plus personal account, which syncs to her laptop (via the Dropbox app with the standard Dropbox folder). She recently opened a Basic account for limited professional use, which has now grown and in need of an upgrade. Up until now, she's only accessed it through her browser. Ideally, this account can be synced to her laptop, along with the personal one, while keeping the two accounts clearly seperate. I've gotten as far as discovering that one can *link* a Personal and Business account, which seems to do exactly what we want, but I'm confused on which exact plans have the capability. Per this page, the Business account for individuals is the Professional. But this page confuses me about whether a Plus account can be linked with a Professional account, or if it has to be a Business Standard. This first screenshot's description makes it sound like the Professional account is not a Business account, when it is clearly listed under Business in the second screenshot... Help! Also, just to confuse matters, we already upgraded her professional account to a Plus account, but I think I can easily upgrade further if needed. Last, if anyone has experience with linking personal and business accounts -- is it pretty easy and foolproof? I believe I read there are actually two different Dropbox folders (presumably labeled appropriately) that otherwise behave like a normal personal one. That would be ideal. Too much fiddling with the app, or logging in and out, will only create confusion. We're on macOS, if that makes any difference. Thanks for any and all help!Solved9.1KViews1like27Comments
