Remove notification about running out of space
Iâve been using dropbox for 10+ years and iâve always kept it at the limit of storage, so I already know Iâm at the limit, I donât want to read it everytime I turn on my computer or everytime I use dropbox on my phone. Can u add a check to âdont show this message againâ?
Turn off Dropbox Transfer notifications and emails
Hello, I am sick of the torrent of emails and red badges reminding me that I just created a transfer, someone downloaded the transfer I sent them to download, or the transfer is expiring etc. I want to turn off all of these emails with a toggle in the app. The numerous other posts and requests about this issue (dating back to the late 2010's) have gone unresolved, so I'm adding my voice here. Persistent Indicator for Files with Unresolved Comments
Currently, Dropbox shows a comment notification only when a comment is new or unread. Once the comment is read, the indicator disappears even if the comment is not resolved. This makes it hard to see which files still require attention. I would like Dropbox to introduce a persistent visual indicator (badge, icon, number, highlight, or any small marker) that appears whenever a file has unresolved comments, regardless of whether they have been read already. Why this matters: Teams use comments for review and approvals. After reading a comment, there is no quick way to see that the file still needs action. Users must open each file and check the comments panel to find unresolved comments. This leads to missed feedback and slower collaboration. How it could work: Show a small badge next to the file name in the file list when unresolved comments exist. In the file preview, show a subtle âunresolved commentsâ indicator even if all comments are read. User impact: This would help teams working with shared documents by making outstanding work visible at a glance, reducing mistakes and speeding up reviews.
My Dropbox account contains less than 100MB of data, but it keeps saying it's full.

The desktop app keeps telling me I'm running an old version. Do I need to upgrade to File Provider?

Now the app is saying I have to update within the next 9 days. Before I update, I just want to confirm that this isn't the File Provider version, and I won't causes issues with my Dropbox location. The new Dropbox sync info window (v224.4.4811, 2025) is too vague, especially for large folders (e.g., my 350GB folder). It shows â74 files remainingâ but doesnât list which files or whatâs happening (e.g., redownloading, indexing). Older versions had better sync details. Please add these features to the sync info window: Clickable Files: Allow clicking on files in the sync window to open them directly in their location. Show Waiting Folders/Files: Display a clear list of folders and files waiting to sync, including their paths and sizes, to identify bottlenecks. Giving clear marking of files that are yet to sync or not. Detailed Sync Info: Provide specific details (e.g., file name, progress percentage, status like âdownloadingâ or âverifyingâ) for each file/folder in the sync queue, similar to pre-2020 versions. Also any permission errors. These changes would make sync tracking transparent and user-friendly, especially for large datasets. Thanks for considering! Currently I feel this is amazing that it is not standard. The last option is for having a simple way to have mutliple folders for mutliple windows users. Currently it is almost impossilbe to use the same drop box folder for two users.
