Trying to delete a file permanently but being asked for a password
Hello. I am trying to delete a file from my dropbox trash but it says I need a password to go and delete permanently even though I sign in with my google account which is suppose to bypass the password for deleting files or images permanently from trash, and when I put in the password for my google account, it says invalid password. Device (Dell Optiplex 7010 Desktop Tower) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 10 Pro/Brave Browser v1.84.134)
Images can't be restored to a previous version, right after overwriting them.
Dropbox App Version (if using the app): N/A Question or Issue Good morning. I discovered a bug in Dropbox related to restoring image file version history. Today, I accidentally overwrote an image stored in Dropbox and tried to restore a previous version. I was very surprised to see the file version field was blank and the "Restore" button was disabled (Attachment 1). I overwrote the same file again, and to my surprise, the correct version history appeared! (Attachment 2)
Is it possible Dropbox deleted my photos due to inactivity/being over-quota?
Hello, Has dropbox at anytime removed/deleted photos due to low storage or not accessing dropbox w/in a certain time frame? I have dropbox accounts under two separate email addresses. One has photos and the other does not. I created them so that I could put photos on them so Im a bit confused why Id have an account and no photos and I seem to think the 2nd account had photos. Is there anywhere I can check as to the history? What could have happened to my photos? I did look through some articles and didnt really understand them...other than asking if the photos stored on DropBox are somehow connected to our PC's? There was something mentioned about syncing them. I only recall adding photos to drop box as a storage device. idk honestly. Thanks for any information you can provide.I'd like to be able to search for my screenshots and remove them from the Photos page.
There is no where for me to perform a search in my "Photo" section and select or edit out screenshots from being populated in my "Photos". Screenshots should be allowed to be chosen or not chosen to be backed up in the "Photos" folder if one wishes. Please consider some kind of solution to this as it causes unnecessary duplicate files. I'd appreciate it and thank you.My photos are missing from my account, how can I get them back?
Hello, I’ve had drop box for many years, the free version. Recently I’ve noticed photos that were there are now missing! Havnt been deleted or anything, but they are gone and were 110% there… absolutely distraught, drop box was the only back up for all these precious memories. There is no way to contact a human at drop box what do I do
