I have run out of space on iPhone due to excessive photos. I want to move my photos to dropbox. Photos are on iCloud. What steps do I take to move the photos from my iCloud account to my dropbox account? Both are on the cloud. The iCloud photos are accessible on my macbook. I tried dragging and dropping and that didnât work. I donât have the dropbox app on macbook. Not sure I have the space for it. Thank you! I use Dropbox on my computer to backup my work files which include my 3D renders that consist in a png sequence (one image per frame at 30 or 60fps), so I have thousands of png images related to renders but dropbox automatically adds them to the camera uploads in my phone app which is extremely annoying because I need to scroll down thousands of images to see my actual photos... if I delete them it deletes my render backup as well, it does the same thing for textures, which makes my photo roll unusable.197Views0likes8CommentsTrying to delete a file permanently but being asked for a password
Hello. I am trying to delete a file from my dropbox trash but it says I need a password to go and delete permanently even though I sign in with my google account which is suppose to bypass the password for deleting files or images permanently from trash, and when I put in the password for my google account, it says invalid password. Application Affected (Dropbox App) Device (Samsung Tab S8.) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Android 15, One UI 7.0.) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) (444.2.2) Question or Issue I have been having problems open pictures (jpg, png, etc) from the Dropbox app. I can see pictures listed in the app. When I try to open them, they just stuck at the loading screen. Sometimes they may load after a few minutes. Sometime they will load forever. The videos and other documents open just fine. I can open pictures with third party app such as Samsung Gallery with no issue. It seems like the Dropbox picture viewer is having some trouble to load content. I have tried to clear cache and reinstall the App. I'm still having the same issue. Any help to resolve this problem would be appreciated.Solved121Views0likes7CommentsThe original creation date of my photos changes after uploading them via the mobile app.
I have been using drop box for years and never had this issue. When I upload photos from my phone to my drop box account using the app on my phone, the dates of the photos change to the date of upload, not the date taken. Why has this changed? How do I get the correct date of the photo? Thank you for your time86Views0likes2CommentsImages can't be restored to a previous version, right after overwriting them.
Dropbox App Version (if using the app): N/A Question or Issue Good morning. I discovered a bug in Dropbox related to restoring image file version history. Today, I accidentally overwrote an image stored in Dropbox and tried to restore a previous version. I was very surprised to see the file version field was blank and the "Restore" button was disabled (Attachment 1). I overwrote the same file again, and to my surprise, the correct version history appeared! (Attachment 2)241Views0likes12CommentsCan we download movie part of a Live photo?
I'm really happy that Dropbox now supports live photos. Having them automatically upload from my iPhone and be visible on dropbox.com is working great! What I'm not seeing is how I can get the movie portion of the live photos onto my laptop. When the live photo is synced to my computer I only see the .heic file, I'd also expect to somehow be able to access the .mp4 file, even if I had to take some sort of extra step. How do I download the movie part of the file? Can this somehow be made part of the automatic sync feature? Can the web UI have a button added to access the movie? I also looked at the developer API docs and it wasn't clear to me if the API support working with live photos. Am I missing something?Solved2.2KViews0likes9Comments
