I hope I'm posting this question in the right category of the community. I am relatively new to Dropbox. I have a lot of pictures from a family reunion last summer. I made a dropbox folder for them. I am working with the pictures on my PC, as it easier to work with them there. The first thing I want to do is choose my favorite pictures. I can see how I do this when I am accessing Dropbox on the web, but not how I can do it when I am on my desktop, which is where I prefer to work on this project. thanks in advance for your helpSolved705Views1like1CommentCan I remove duplicate photos from Photos tab and change creation date?
I have several duplicates of photos uploaded to my Dropbox, and at this point I’m not interested in deleting them individually. Is there any way to keep all the duplicates from showing up in my Photos tab? Also, I have several hundred photos that were pulled from an old drive and in the process, had their creation date changed to Jan 2024. They ALL show up in my Photos tab as January. Is it possible to edit their dates to reflect when they were actually taken?436Views0likes1CommentI deleted photos from my desktop app and they also got deleted from the web. Can I recover them?
Hello, I think I have made a huge mistake. My knowledge of computers is limited. Is there anything I can do? Sometimes I use software on my computer that take a lot of memory. So I deleted a lot of data in order to make space. I thought I could delete files and photos from my computer and they still would be on dropbox. I understand now I was wrong. I did not look at these files and photos for a long time so I can not say exactly when it was all deleted but probably some time last year. I have had dropbox for many year. Is there anything I can do? I have a Plus account. Grateful for any help233Views0likes12CommentsImages can't be restored to a previous version, right after overwriting them.
Dropbox App Version (if using the app): N/A Question or Issue Good morning. I discovered a bug in Dropbox related to restoring image file version history. Today, I accidentally overwrote an image stored in Dropbox and tried to restore a previous version. I was very surprised to see the file version field was blank and the "Restore" button was disabled (Attachment 1). I overwrote the same file again, and to my surprise, the correct version history appeared! (Attachment 2)217Views0likes12CommentsAll photos from 2010 on are gone
My music disappeared and all photos from 2010 on. Yes I had them on an external backup drive, and all I saw were picture icons with a gray X. Now even those are gone. The names of the photo folders and files are there, but now they all say file size 0 and they are totally gone.Solved199Views0likes7CommentsCan deleted photos be retrieved from Deleted Files?
3 days ago I deleted some individual in-named, un-filed single iPhone uploaded pictures. A few minutes ago I tried retrieving some from the deleted files section and after adjusting the filters, nothing came up. (1)Is there a grace period for retrieving? (2)Are deleted files the only items retrievable and not individual un-filed pictures? I’m a bit confused as to (3)what the difference between files and phone uploads and camera uploads are other than the obvious, deleting un-filed un-named singles individually to files having a name, files holding multiple pictures and ability to delete a whole file with pics all at once. (5)But with it being called “ Deleted Files”, are they all considered the same when deleting and retrieving them? It seems that Dropbox puts all my uploaded unfiled and un-named singles under camera uploads or phone uploads, (6)which I suppose, they could be considered pre-named Dropbox files (7)Not sure if I can delete pictures as a whole from these (files?) (8)because when opened, the two prenamed dropbox file formats look different than that of a file I named. (9)Dropbox’s Camera uploads and Phone uploads (files?) would make more sense to me if i uploaded photos with a secondary device like a Nikon camera or…..a Cannon. But all my Dropbox photo uploads are sourced from my iPhone camera. So that too is a bit confusing because I don’t choose where my singles go. They just go. Sometimes they go to both prenamed Dropbox (files?) I’ve had Dropbox for 10 years. (10)Looking for answers.190Views0likes4Comments
