Dropbox Plan Dropbox Business upgraded to Dropbox Teams Device Dell XPS 16 Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Windows 11 Pro Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 240.4.8609 Question or Issue I had a Dropbox business account that was 6TB. I ran out of room so I upgraded to Dropbox Teams and 15 TB. I just figured that my Dropbox business account would become the Dropbox teams account but it did not. Now I have 2 Dropbox accounts (or at least 2 Dropbox folders) with 2 different names but using the same email address. I only want one account with 15 TB of room. Question: How can I get all my files over to the Dropbox Teams account? Question: At renewal time, does this mean I will be charged for the Dropbox Business account and again for the Dropbox Teams account?45Views0likes2CommentsPricing Tier for Seniors
FAO Dropbox management. Seniors, with exceptions, once retired tend to be time rich but financially poor. They have can have assets e.g. house and car, essential items, but not much disposal income - even governments recognise this. In some ways they are similar to educational students, but are often neglected, despite the fact that seniors are living longer than ever before and so present as a growing group of potential customers that is often overlooked by companies more anxious to pursue the youth market. My suggestion is to have a pricing tier specifically for this age group, perhaps a 'lifetime' option, as this group like to have certainty and security in their lives and would appreciate an up-front option knowing that their online resources will be secure going forward whatever their future financial circumstances. There are a good number of online storage companies offering 'lifetime' options to the general public e.g. pCloud, Proton, Icedrive, Filen, Koofr among many others etc. Seniors also tend to be loyal, staying with an organisation once committed, whereas other age groups are understandably more likely to be switching for better offers. So, this should not be a particularly difficult decision for Dropbox to make, and also the PR would be very good for the company. Seniors are now more active online than ever before - even running YouTube channels, and tend to appreciate 'word-of-mouth' recommendations from fellow seniors. Thus making the awareness of a good marketing opportunity better known throughout their peer groups. That is my suggestion and I do hope that Dropbox will give it due consideration. Please add Google Pay (and perhaps Paze / Apple Pay / Samsung Pay) as payment options for paid Dropbox subscriptions since PayPal sucks and many of us dont want to enter sensitive card details into third party websites like Dropbox.Solved64Views0likes2CommentsI can't see a full refund as mentioned on my existing Support ticket. Why?
Ticket #25863456 I found out that Dropbox had been taking money from my account using expired card details, without my consent or permission, or having provided them any new, valid payment details. I raised this issue, and on Dec 31, 2025, Louis said he took some steps to resolve this, including: "Issued a full refund of £79.96, which should appear in your account within 3–5 business days depending on your bank" It has now been more than 3-5 business days and I have not received the full refund as promised. I tried to reply via the customer portal but it said I no longer had access to it. I tried to reply via email, as they said I could, e.g. "If there’s anything else I can help with, just reply to this email and I’ll be happy to assist." So I did, and got this email back: "Hi, Thanks for reaching out to Dropbox support. Replies to this email are routed to an unmonitored inbox and will not be answered by our support team." This is absurd. Thanks.155Views0likes18CommentsCan I restore files that have been permanently deleted if I upgrade to a paid plan?
I deleted the files stored in my Plus account on October 21, 2025, and transferred them to a new cloud service. After that, I downgraded my account to the Basic plan. However, the transfer to the new cloud was not completed successfully. I would like to know whether upgrading my Basic plan to a Professional account would allow me to recover those files, or if they have been permanently deleted. I have attempted to contact Get Help multiple times but have not received a clear or definitive answer. I would appreciate clarification on whether file recovery is still possible and, if so, what steps I should take. Thank you community for your assistance. I have the largest account available to an individual and have added the one time storage to my account. I have a large family and have a lot of photos and videos that I want to store. However, I'm almost out of space (nearly 4TB) and need more. When I tried to upgrade, my only option for more storage than 4TB is to upgrade to a business account for three users at an increase of an additional $225/year. My first TB of increase was $60 and it hardly seems right to force me to delete my files or upgrade for 80% increase in price. Thank you.57Views0likes2CommentsMy account is a Basic one, but I received an email about an upcoming charge.
I have a received an email saying that my account will be renewed and charged 163.67$ on February 11, 2026. Once connected, my account is the Dropbox Basic which is free. I also have no bill to Pay that shows. Since the account was created for work and we don't want to use it anymore, I wish to delete it. Can I do it or should I terminate the forfait first? It also doesn't give me the option to terminate it on a computer. Thank you for your time.80Views0likes3CommentsI upgraded to Dropbox Professional, but it's not showing on my account
