Dell Promo 20GB not working even after reinstalling dropbox I just bought a dell and am trying to get the add'l 20GB space. There is a "Get 20GB disk space" notification but it says "Dropbox already installed. Try to uninstall and reinstall dropbox to redeem offer from Dell". Even after doing that it still isn't working and has the same notification box. Any suggestions???Solved32KViews0likes6Comments50% Off on Dropbox Plus
Hi there, I was going to upgrade to the Dropbox Plus plan on my mobile app and was given an option for 50% off on opting for the annual plan. However I went on my desktop to opt into this as I needed to download a few pictures/videos but now it's not offering the 50% if I pay for it annually. Is there a discount code I can utilize?Solved14KViews0likes3CommentsDeleting files then permanently deleting doesn't free up space!?!
Hi, I've seen others with the same issue. I had promotional space added to my account. I used up quite a lot of this space. When my promotion ran out I was naturally over my quota. I then logged on online using the web interface and deleted live files. This had no effect, the amount of used space is not decreasing regardless of what I delete. I tried to permanently delete them but this also had no effect. I thought that perhaps it was because the data was kept on my sync'd devices, so I disassociated all devices, again this had no effect. I looked in depth at every support article online, nothing provides any insight or resolution beyond what I have tried and had no success with. Now either I buy more space or I can no longer upload to Dropbox. It has been weeks with no difference. I have contacted support but I get automated responses to look at their knowledge base, which I had naturally done before but tried again. No Luck. Please help. As Albert Einstein said, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.” Dropbox are sending me insane! I have one more option. Delete everything so that there is literally nothing in my Dropbox, but I would imagine given the above that it would make no difference and no one is helping!Solved14KViews3likes11CommentsI received a 25GB HP Promotional dropbox space increase, yet I should have received 100GB
Hello, I took some time to review the terms of your HP Promotion: https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/space-storage/hp-promotion The table indicates that HP Devices purchased on or after 9/1/2020 are to have a promotional offer of 100GB of Dropbox space for 12 months. I purchased a HP 15t-dy200 Touch Laptop directly from HP's website on 11/26/2020. This laptop was assembled new on 12/03/2020, and was delivered on 12/10/2020. By all accounts it should have the 100GB Dropbox offer, however it only came with the 25GB offer through the pre-loaded software, which was added to my account. Is there any way that support can fix this? I have receipts for my laptop purchase. Thanks.Solved11KViews0likes80Comments1 year 100gb promotion
Hello, I've got 100GB free with my new Acer computer. The offer says I've got 100GB storage for 1 year. What happens after 1 year if I don't upgrade and I stick with the free 2gb plan?? Will they delete all my storage if I use the 100GB? It's not clear at all and I'm worried to use this offer if I don't upgrade to a pay plan after the 1st year. Thanks!Solved10KViews2likes7CommentsDropbox space - 102GB for free?
Hello, I currently have a basic (unpaid) Dropbox account. I have a used it very little in the past and might need it more now, so I checked how much storage I have available. To my surprise it shows I have 102GB available? Is that showing by error or do I really have that much space with my free account?10KViews0likes5CommentsWhy was my Dropbox quota reduced?
I alternate between using Dropbox on my laptop (Windows 10), and the Dropbox Android app on my tablet. I just started up Dropbox on my laptop and got a Windows notification saying my Dropbox space had been "reduced." ? I couldn't tell by how much, though; it listed 1000-something GB, which seems like how much space I should have, since I'm on the paid 1TB plan. I checked the settings in the desktop app and it says I'm using 2.0% of 1,027.2GB (site says I'm using 20.99GB out of 1TB). I don't know if that's the exact amount of GB space I had before, but I know I was using up 2% earlier, so that hasn't changed. I checked my account settings, I'm not due to renew my subscription until June. Still on the paid plan. Checked my deleted files on the Dropbox site; nothing recent. I hadn't even made any changes to any files between now and the last time I used Dropbox, so I don't know why I'd suddenly get this notification. I can't even tell by how much it was supposedly reduced? (The notification disappeared as soon as I read it.) I have no notifications on the Dropbox site or in the desktop app. (Haven't checked my tablet yet.) Any idea what might have prompted this or what it means? Is it something to do with Windows rather than Dropbox? If so, what? There's no chance I've lost any files? (They're all saved to my hard drive, but in the Dropbox folder.)Solved9.4KViews1like8Comments
