I recently changed jobs and my new job does not utilize Dropbox. Needing to subscribe to a new software system, I transferred all my files and then went to account settings and downgraded my plan from Business to Basic. This past September (almost a year later) Dropbox charged me $158.88 for that basic plan. The charge went through automatically via PayPal which is the billing method I used when I was a paying subscriber. Beyond this billing error on Dropbox's behalf, a major problem is that once a customer downgrades to a Basic Plan, you have zero customer service and no access to Billing Settings to prevent this error happening again. I have sent multiple emails to Dropbox, PayPal and my bank, protesting the charge. The only response I can get from Dropbox is through their Sales team, which of course, cannot help me. They send me back to Billing, whom I never hear from. I'm hoping that someone in the community can help with this issue. I have always found their product to be good and have used it (at Business level subscription) for years. Hello, There was a fraudulent charge on my credit card. I am a basic plan user only so when I got the notification from my credit card company that I had a charge from Dropbox I knew something was suspicious. I was able to track down the invoice and receipt using the transaction ID lookup tool so I have that documentation. I want to report this to Dropbox so they may take action against this user. Hey All, I got an error when I purchased my plan from the sales rep link and it has been a NIGHTMARE every since. I can't make ANY changes to my account and the plan is always wrong. I had business plus for 3 users, but was charged for 5 users... it took over a week to fix this and they had to refund the entire thing and have me repurchase a plan for 3 users. With the repurchase link it was just for the regular business plan with 3 users... for 2 weeks I have asked support why I dont have unlimited templates like I was sold on and all they said was "we will send your feedback to developers". I finally figured out the issue on my own was I just needed to upgrade to business plus again... I have tried to upgrade via my account through the upgrade option, through the plan option, through the billing option, and through a specific link provided by support and continually get the same error. I have contacted support 3 times. I was given instructions how to upgrade on my own and ticket closed (again... there is AN ERROR and I can't). It has been days with no support reply. I am literally losing business and trying to give dropbox more money and upgrade my plan. What a horrible experience. Any tips to just upgrade? It is a simple solution to my problem yet support either didn't know I should upgrade or is unable to help me upgrade! Is there anyway to get in touch with an actual human at Dropbox? I am being charged monthly for Dropbox account that I do not have, and I cannot for the life of me get an actual person to help with this on the Dropbox side. Hi! Can someone help me and inform me, what can I do? I was login on my Dropbox account in mobile phone and suddenly appeared the modal on the screen and I accidentally clicked on âConfirmâ, but it was some kind of Extended Recovery History subscription or something like that. I didnât want this but billing was already done. I cancelled the file verion history subscription but it says that Extended Version History scheduled for removal on February 5, 2024 (as my Plus plan will renew then). I want to ask for refund because I dinât want this subscription or file recovery thing. This kind of pop-up modal shouldn't be there like that so this kind of mistakes won't happen. I thought it is some kind of cookie policy pop-up. I am not able to press âSubmitâ button so I can't send my refund request to Dropbox support in support Center > Send Email.
