List of not-synced folder when using Dropbox Selective Sync
When using Dropbox Selective Sync how I can see a list or generate a report of the folders I do not see on this device (i.e. I do not sync to this device)? I know in the Dropbox Selective Sync Panel I can click through all the folder and subfolders to find the ones I do not sync, but a list in a text or PDF file would be more helpful when I'm going to recreate the same sync behaviour on another machine.
Logged out of the Dropbox app and back in and now I have a 'Dropbox (old)' and a 'Dropbox' folder

Simple enough. Which I did. I then got a pop up asking me (telling me really) to rename my Dropbox folder. I said OK, and I now have a Dropbox and Dropbox (old) in the User directory. All of my files are in (old). None are in new. Every link on my PC to my old files is now of course broken. I paused syncing because I am worried Dropbox is going to try and create an entirely new copy of all of my files in the new Dropbox folder. Does anyone know what it going on here? And how to put things back to they way they were before? Why on earth would a logout/login totally reorganize all of my files??? I'm kind of dead in the water right now so any help would be greatly appreciated. Dropbox support seems to be non-existent.File Provider version disconnected and now I'm not eligible for that version

I just returned from being out of town and "Dropbox" is no longer in the Locations portion of Mac Finder. Further, it appears that File Provider has completely "unlinked" itself. When I tried to connect again, it said "Couldn't update Dropbox, Check your internet connection". I installed a new version, and now it says I'm ineligible for File Provider. Number of files on hard drive: 330,623
My macOS desktop app crashes each time I try to install or open it.

Question or Issue I am trying to install the Desktop application for Dropbox. However, each time I try and install or open the application, it simply crashes. In order to get it to stop, I have to open Activity Monitor and force quit. The issue is the same when using the offline installer. The only difference is that the actual application icon does not make it to my Applications folder.
Dropbox keeps asking me to relink the app after moving the local folder to another location.
I have a ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS desktop. It has a SSD on which OS is installed and a HD for other non-OS things. By default Dropbox store local data in Home dir of ubuntu. I was running out of storage, so i moved it to my HD (using Move option in preferences). It worked well, but as soon as I restart my system, Dropbox always notify me of directory has change (which i did intentioanlly) and ask me exit or relink which ultimately set everything back to Home fodler.
How do I re-link the File Provider Dropbox folder?
Hi, I upgraded to the new file provider dropbox a few months ago. In the last few weeks, dropbox didn't seem to be syncing, even after I clicked move to online only and my hard-drive suddenly filled up leading to mac warning signs. So I logged out then back in. When I logged back in, I found that dropbox had "unlinked" my file provider folder. It had forgotten that I had done the file provider update and made a new blank old-style dropbox folder, which it is trying to start resyncing everything. The trouble is, I don't have enough hard-drive space to enable it to fully resync, and I'm worried that there might be data in the file-provider folder that never actually synced to dropbox online, so I can't delete anything. And it won't let me re-update to file provider until everything is synced. Which it can't because of the lack of harddrive space. Finally, the nature of my work means that I have more than 500,000 files and so I had all my settings setup to avoid that trap, but dropbox also seems to have forgotten that. And I can't edit them until it's synced. Given that 10 minutes ago, everything seemed to be working fine (or maybe not given the potential lack of syncing), I'm pretty frustrated. How can I simply re-link my file provider folder so that I don't lose anything or have to resync 500Gb? Or any other suggestions to get me out of this catch 22? Any advice would be very welcome. Windows 11 Pro Dropbox I have this Dropbox installed on my now much older and computer and want to move this over to my newest, extremely faster new system. Both are on my home network. What is the step by step process to copy or move this data? When the move is complete there will be no new data sent to the old computer. The data is a massive amount of telescope images taken remotely and sent as taken to this account. The system is in California while I am in Virginia. Currently this account has just over 1TB of raw data to be moved. The old drive in the old computer will be removed and stored as a physical backup. I just want the quickest way to transfer the data please and the step by step process to accomplish this. I'm 71 years old, somewhat comfortable with computer systems however this new Windows 11 Pro will take some getting use to. The new computer has 2 - 2TB m.2 hard drives and 2 - 16 TB 3.5" hard drives. The second m.2 drive is mainly used as swap folder space for image processing. I've used Dropbox for years but know little of the inner workings. I install, usually with some issue it seems, then it just does its thing. Thanks, Steve
