I have deleted half of my files and still the amount of storage doesn't change. it says I have used the same amount if I delete any number of files. This is not a shared folders issue. How do I get it to reset the storage spaced used so that it is accurate?Solved6.4KViews2likes7CommentsI'm part of a Family plan, but other users can't upload files to my folder due to insufficient space
I am a member of this Family Abo of 2TB. On my side, I opened a new folder with subfolder for being able to store photos of different users. my users, I gave the access, informed me that they can not upload their photos because of capacity of 2GB. If I am a member of this family abo, can I use the capacity of this family abo? YES or NO? ...if No, then I have to apply for a costly abo. correct?Solved309Views1like2CommentsPeople I shared my folders with cannot access due to "not enough space" - this is unacceptable.
I am the tech lead for my church and I have people who take photos of services and events. I wanted to use Dropbox as a place where they could upload their photos and the Pastor and I could get them to use for our website and other multi-media uses. I personally upgraded to a 3TB plan so that I would have plenty of space for them to be able to share their photos and videos without the need to do so in small chunks requiring me to keep going in there and removing them. I wasn't aware that Dropbox counts shared folders against their storage space allotted. IF this is indeed the case, I'm going to want a full refund of the year I purchased in advanced. I don't like shady scummy practices like that. I have worked in consulting for years and have had companies use their file share services to share files with me and I could create new accounts there and get what I needed without ever running into anything like this. So I'm first of all wondering if there is a better way of doing this? Why should my entire team pay for the same space that I already purchased? I really hope someone has a solution that can work. Thanks in advance.1.3KViews1like8CommentsStorage concern
My client shared his Dropbox with me. The issue is that my client is subscribed to a large storage plan, but I am receiving notifications that my storage is full. This seems incorrect, as I am uploading files to my client's Dropbox. Why is it affecting my Dropbox storage? I am hesitant to delete any files, as I have no way to identify whether the files are on my client's Dropbox or mine.Solved2.1KViews1like1CommentStorage Space
Hi all.. I have a 13.5 gig storage on my account but I am suddenly unable to upload even to 2 gig.. I have an important work file that I can't even access.. I was a very very early dropbox adopter and earned all that storage by getting all my friends to downland and use.. maybe 20 years ago now..? took a while but I've always love dropbox and use it often and still regularly get others to upload it and use it for work.. though they long ago stopped giving me extra storage for that.. I suppose once you are successful you don't need to look after your loyal supporters anymore.. Today a colleague sent me a folder and I am just lead to a page that tells me I have not enough space.. I have 1.87 gig used.. While in the same screen it tells me that my account is 13.5 gig.. So I went to look for help only to find that as I don't pay them cash I cannot even email them.. phone numbers address everything is greyed out.. nasty.. and the chat bot doesn't work.. they never work but this one opens in a window half off the screen.. so my only option is to make a community post... very disappointing.. might be the end of a long relationship.. ;9( thanks paulSolved9.2KViews1like14CommentsSerious problem with Hard Drive space
Hi I have a major problem with disk space, and I just can't seem to find an answer to the problem. I have a little macbook with minimal HD space, hence why dropbox is very handy for me. I am using shared dropbox within a company. That is, we are all connected to the same account but only sync our one personal folder. With 16GB of space available, I download and install dropbox, then proceed to sync the one and only folder I wish to sync, which is 2.5GB large. Having done this, I now have 13.5GB available. Which is spot on. However, over the course of a few days I suddenly begin to get messages warning me that my HD space is running low, until eventually the messages turn to "your hard drive is full". If I uninstall dropbox, I get my 16GB back. I start again, and it just keeps happening. If I leave it and get on with something else, I find that my HD space begins to gradually and erratically creep back up again. I have tried and checked and tried and checked, and I am only syncing the folder I require. So why does dropbox keep stealing my available space? Note: this situation doesn't happen if dropbox is not installed. This is incredibly unproductive as I seem to be spending most of my time at work configuring dropbox. Not only that, but when my computer HD goes down to 0bytes of space, I can't get anything done at all.Solved8.5KViews1like14CommentsCannot get file larger than 2gb. I'm a Dropbox Pro user!
I'm using Dropbox Pro ([account information removed]), and I really need to get large file (several few gbs files) as soon as possible. (Please refer: [file request link removed]) Since I'm a Dropbox Pro user, I thought I'm expected to be able to receive files larger than 2gb (up to 10 gb) as your document suggests: https://www.dropbox.com/en/help/9090. However, when my clients tried to upload their files, it keeps saying that the limitation for file request is 2gb. I'm ahead of very important business deadline, so I really need you guys to figure out how to get my files. This is not what I paid for!Solved6.1KViews1like9Comments
