Viewing a folder of photos as a slide show is a basic feature which was previously available in Dropbox but has been removed. In my view this is a fundamental capability. I would like to send a link to others to let them view files easily without clicking/swiping on every shot and without downloading all the files. I don't get it. Slide shows worked very well before.13KViews15likes9CommentsHow can I turn off the preview on the site?
Dropbox apparently introduced new functionality that forces a large preview window every time a file is selected. The vast majority of time this degrades my efficiency in using Dropbox. I can't find a way to turn it off. Please help. I'm on the website (not the mobile app) using MacOS and Safari.Solved9.2KViews12likes20CommentsAdvanced search based on key phrases
I seriously need advanced searching. Dropbox used to have these features (like search exact phrase) in 2015, but somehow removed them. So how can I do advanced searching in dropbox? The ability to drop a file directly from a public file server to dropbox cloud storage folder. This would eliminate the need to download the file locally and then upload to sync the file. This would also help users with slow upload speeds or bandwidth caps.23KViews9likes6CommentsRemove "Log in or sign up" Popup when downloading from a shared link
We recently chose Dropbox as the best-looking and most functional drive-sharing tool for our video production company. However, there's an annoying popup prompting clients to log in or sign up when we share links. The "Continue with download only" button is easily missed, especially by older clients, making us look unprofessional. It's frustrating that such a customizable platform has this issue. We hope for a solution soon!5.8KViews9likes33CommentsDB website folder thumbnails - plain blue please - no photo collages
I HATE the new photo-collage folder thumbnails on the Dropbox website. 👎👎👎👎👎 Not sure why anyone thought that was a good idea or why a content thumbnail is needed for a folder (especially since the photos that show up on the thumbnail aren't necessarily representative of the folder contents). The random photo jumble/collage makes it very hard to differentiate a folder from a file/image. Is there any way to change my folder thumbnails back to plain blue on the website? Thank you, Judith P.S. Folders that only have subfolders are still plain blue on the website....maybe that's my solution. Creating a separate level of folders, however, seems like a silly waste of time and space.6.5KViews9likes18Comments
