41 TopicsUnable to share folder since it contains a shared folder
Hello, I have created a folder with documents and folders that are labelled as: "Only You" for members. It will not allow me to share this folder though because it says "This folder can only be shared as a link because it contains a shared folder". I don't see any files inside this folder that are shared though. I moved a lot of information into this folder and unshared some people from documents to make all ONLY YOU. Does this take awhile to update before I can share with others? Not sure why its showing as I only have access but not allowing sharing... Please let me know how to resolve. Thank you!Solved7.8KViews0likes9CommentsDropbox captcha error
Your browser appears to be blocking dropboxcaptcha.com, which is required for authentication. I ran a scan on my computer, and performed the following: restarted the computer cleared the cookies/history tried in incognito mode disabled the firewall temporarily tried in different browsers made sure pop ups are allowed in the browser Allowed cookies to be run on the site ensured the browser was up to date (Using Chrome) I keep getting this error and am unable to log into Dropbox5.4KViews0likes5Comments"www.dropbox.com refused to connect."
A classical case of Dropbox website working on every device in network, except a single PC. But, sadly, even with all the support on other similar topics, I couldn't connect to the website. I have tried using different browsers, turning proxy, antivirus and vpn on and off, using different DNS servers and removing the "hosts" file. So now, when I have tried every other option, I'm trying to reach for support of the community. My best guess is that the issue persists due to some setting or error in router, but for some reason it works perfectly on any other device.Solved5.3KViews0likes4CommentsHow to opt out of sharing my personal data?
Before I could access a file that I was sent the other day, I had to agree to the cookies and personal data sharing. I found the wording confusing and could not tell if "Don't sell my info..." button turned on meant I did want it to be shared or didn't want to be shared. Well, it looks like I chose wrong and now I need to turn that button back off. Does anyone know how I do this? I've looked under all the settings I can find and do not see this option anywhere. Please help so I can take my inbox back over from all the unsolicited messages I'm receiving. Hi I'm bit worried, my mac time machine discs were stolen last week (unencrypted) so I changed my dropbox password (and many others) 10 am this morning, I was prompted to check the devices connected in my dropbox/security because re-logging in means I reached the 3 device limit. I saw a mac I didn’t recognise "ChristopersMBP4.localdomain" is nothing to do with me. I did already change my dropbox password yesterday after the disc was stolen. I normally have a Mac mIni connected which was not listed, so maybe this is an error. However - the list did state "localdomain" I dont know how that differs from ".local" within dropbox - googling's not helping me also - my wifi password was changed earlier this morning. I immediately clicked the bin in dropbox/security to disconnect "ChristopersMBP4.localdomain". My Mini was restarting at the time, when it was done I was asked to log into dropbox. Now the mini is connected as: "neils-mini.local" not ".localdomain" does anyone know what this.localdomain" means please? Am I in trouble? Heres a screenshot with the spurious connected mac. thanks so much NeilSolved2.9KViews0likes19CommentsAlmost impossible to login due to "games" captcha
Hi everyone! I have a problem I hope you can help me resolve. I use my Dropbox free acount to move files from my phone to the office computer. They are personal things, so I can't install the app or login out of a private browser session. I have two-factors autentication active. Dropbox makes me lose a lot of time in stupid games before login to prove I'm human. I'm not talking about reCAPTCHA here, but real games where you move people to the right chair and other crap like that. How can I avoid this? It's ridicolous, if I wanted to play I will have open an account to a game site, not to personal cloudspace.2.3KViews7likes32CommentsI cannot see my device to sign out of it
Hi I use four devices on Dropbox. Whenever I want to use the 4th device I sign out of one. This has worked for years. However, just recently I found I cannot sign out of my main computer it is always signed in. It never appears on the link of 'Which one do you want to sign out from'. Can anyone assist, please? I have tried to log out of all devices and it has still not worked. Thanks ClaireSolved2.2KViews0likes13CommentsNew login page breaks 1password
The new log in page for some reason has the e-mail input field as type=password, which makes 1Password think it's a password field. This breaks the security provided by password managers. I think this is a bug. This is the web app login dropbox.com/loginSolved1.9KViews0likes5Comments
