Turn off line numbering when viewing text files
Is there a way to disable the entirely unnecessary and unhelpful line numbering when viewing text files? I don't need it and I don't want it. Why on earth was that added? I love Dropbox but they really need to stop springing surprise features on customers and allow us to opt-in. Some of the interface changes lately have been a huge nuissance and I've had to waste a bunch of time figuring out how to roll them back or disable them.
No individual or sharing activity details
In the past two weeks, I am now no longer to view any individual or sharing activity details. I know there is substantial activity but I no longer can view any which has made Dropbox overall much more difficult to use. I am using Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1 All I see is a screen that says "here you'll find files or folders you've recently interacted with" although there is nothing in either my individual or sharing activity. It seems others are also reporting this having happened recently.
Changing email and lost files
Hi I have had a DB account for many years under an email address which I have recently changed. My Windows Explorer and smartphone (using the old email address) work as expected and I can save and use files in DB in both. However my Windows laptop doesn't show any files or folders and appears to think I wish to set up a new account when I attempted to change to my new email address. When I try and revert back to the old email address to start again it tells me this email address is already taken. How do I have all folders and files appear in online DB under my new email address? Thanks
Trouble pairing two accounts on my computer
Hello! For three years I worked with a small company that used a Dropbox team account. For years I've had a personal one. During the pandemic when all of the work was from home and I had to use my own computer for work, I could sync within my own computer both accounts at the same time - having live sync on both folders at the same time. I left that company and now I am back and when I try to sync once again both accounts in the same computer, it appears an error message of please login with your paired account. I have been on my company team account settings, unlinked a previous account that had been linked and once I try again in vain as the message keeps repeating. Am I missing anything? Once it is linked with one account is it linked forever? Is it an app bug?
Annoying popup on the website to resubscribe
I keep getting a large popup that says: "Welcome back, (name)! We noticed that your subscription has ended. Resubscribe now to not miss out on advanced productivity features and 2,000 GB or more of space." I have the free Basic plan and want to keep using it. I am NOT near my storage limit (only at 650 MB out of 2.25 GB). The popup keeps coming up, even though I select Basic as my plan. Is there a way to stop these annoying popups? FYI, the popup is when I access dropbox.com in my browser on my laptop, not on mobile devices.Bosnia and Herzegovina is missing from my Dropbox timezone preferences.
Hello, I'm trying to "Set timezone" in my settings and I see that Bosnia and Herzegovina is missing from the list of countries. Wasn't sure who to contact about getting this added so I hope someone in the community has a suggestion. This also makes me wonder if any other countries have been left off the list. How can I remove the very large (space wasted) icons for "create" "upload or drop" "create+folder" etc.? I don't need/want that info as huge icons. I MUCH prefer to just right click, or use the three dots method of doing the things listed. Or, "maybe" a SMALL row of TEXT buttons for these options? See pic, thanks.
