account access
6 TopicsI can't access my Dropbox files as the "Upgrade your plan" prompt keeps appearing.
When I log into Dropbox I see the home screen for about 3 seconds then the "Upgrade your plan" screen appears. I select basic plan again and then it reloads the home screen and about 3 seconds later it again loads the "upgrade your plan" screen and forever cycles through this process. I can't get into my documents. I only have about half a gigabyte of space used. this is so stupid.1.1KViews0likes16CommentsI can't access my photos, as I'm being asked to upgrade my Dropbox account.
I REALLY need help, please. A very long time ago my wife and I wanted to put our photos, many of them precious, in a safe place. She suggested putting them om a USB but I said we should put them on something called "Dropbox" It was free and safe. What a fool I was. Over time it said my account was "getting " full so I deleted as many things as I could and things were fine. Then without using my account much at all I went to it and it says it's full and I have to pay a large sum of money, which I don't have, in order to get into my account. It seems like kidnapping. If I were to pay the money I don't even know if I could get my photos back without deleting them all. The only thing I can think of is, paying the ransom, downloading the photos to my hard drive, moving them to a USB (my PC is old and I can't fit in a USB and a wireless USB in at the same time) and terminating my account. Even then I'm afraid I will lose everything because it says that by terminating your account all of your data will be deleted. I really don"t know what to do. Wow, do I feel like u sucker.1KViews0likes19CommentsAccount erroneously locked because of "full storage"
My personal account has been locked for several months because Dropbox is claiming the storage is full. Their error is that I had a work account I was a team member of that was closed and deleted. So somehow they attribute those files which no longer exist as being my files. They're claiming I have something like 45GB on my Dropbox & I have less than 1 GB. I have paid for a Dropbox plan in the past but do not currently need to share a large volume of files but I anticipate that I will need to again soon. With errors like this and no easy resolution I am not exactly inclined to upgrade again. Any assistance? Thanks!136Views0likes5CommentsMy account seems to be inaccessible since it got too full.
I would like to know, why account was locked. After my storage allegedly got too full. I thought extortion was against the law. Forcing individuals to pay for a plan or they loss all their pictures of their babies and their legal documents. Won't make these individuals want to become clients. Now how can get my personal information and photos back?Solved109Views0likes5CommentsI can't access my Basic account as I'm getting a message that it's full
I was on the Basic Plan but have not used my Dropbox account in years. I'm keen to use it again, but It says its full but I can't access anything also I may have attached to a now defunct email address... I'd like to access what's there but it may be shared folders. How can I see what's there and possibly access the fiels in the defunct email address.106Views0likes3CommentsFiles being deleted on inactive paid accounts.
I chose Dropbox years ago partly because their marketing and terms at the time strongly implied that paid accounts would keep files indefinitely as long as the subscription was active. Recently, however, they began deleting inactive accounts’ files—even paid ones—after a certain period of inactivity, with a policy that apparently changed after I signed up. Whatever the fine print says now, this felt like a bait-and-switch to me and cost me data I thought was safe. My takeaway: never fully trust Dropbox they are liars.71Views0likes2Comments
