Hello, I opened a Dropbox account while working for a previous employer and used my credit card details to pay for the account as I was reimbursed by the company. I have since left the company and am still being charged the monthly fee and can no longer access the email to receive the 2FA code. I have the password so have tried to login to the Dropbox account to cancel the contract but can't access the code to get into the account. Can you please let me know how to cancel the account and not get charged anymore or how to setup a different channel for the 2FA code to go to? I have a new dropbox account with my new employer so is it possible to use that email address for the 2FA code? I have lost hundreds of dollars for an account I can't access and am very frustrated.34Views0likes3CommentsHow to delete my Dropbox Backup files

I have received a monthly charge of $11.99 for the past few years for a Dropbox plan that I don't have. I've even had to cancel my debit card and receive a new number, and this transaction still shows up every month. I've tried to ignore this because Dropbox makes it impossible to solve this problem but I'm sick of my money being stolen every month. I don't have 12 digit transaction ID so it's impossible to use the credit/debit card lookup tool - The transaction ID I have for this charge is "DROPBOX*+9 digits". I have 2 Dropbox accounts - One with my personal email, one with my work email. Both use the free plan, so I shouldn't be getting charged every month. I suspect this may be linked to my old university email, but I no longer have access to that account since I graduated 7 years ago. I don't think I ever paid for an account using that address, but this is the only thing I can think of. If I have a paid account with that address, I want to cancel it but can't figure out how. I shouldn't have to have access to that email address to do so - Since the charge is coming in to my bank account that I DO have access to. Dropbox, stop charging me and let me delete this old account!!! I don't even know if this is the right place to post this but I've tried cancelling my debit card, contacting customer support, using the transaction ID lookup tool, etc. and NOTHING has worked. I'm seriously at my wits end here. This honestly feels like fraud.185Views0likes15CommentsDropbox Fax is not working
Dear Dropbox Community, I'm writing to express my extreme frustration and concern regarding the complete failure of Dropbox Fax. I've been a premium subscriber for three months, and during that time, I have not received a single fax. This is unacceptable. Like many of you, I rely on fax services for important documents. The fact that Dropbox Fax is completely unreliable is not only inconvenient but potentially damaging. I've spent time and money on a service that simply doesn't work. My attempts to resolve this with Dropbox customer support have been utterly fruitless. They offer only email support, which is slow and unhelpful, and they refuse to issue refunds for their non-functional service. This is a clear case of profiting from a service they are unable to provide. Furthermore, I've seen reports of security breaches within the Dropbox system. This raises serious concerns about the safety and security of our sensitive information. I'm seriously considering pursuing legal action against Dropbox for this breach of trust and the financial losses incurred. I believe that a company that collects money for a service it cannot deliver should be held accountable. I urge anyone else experiencing similar issues with Dropbox Fax to share their experiences here. We need to collectively voice our concerns and explore all available options, including legal recourse, to ensure that Dropbox addresses this issue and compensates its customers. Has anyone else experienced: Complete failure to receive faxes? Unresponsive or unhelpful customer support? Concerns about security breaches? Difficulty in recieving refunds? Let's discuss our options and explore how we can hold Dropbox accountable for this unacceptable service.274Views0likes5CommentsBeing charged for an account I do not know about
I have been being charged for 3 accounts. One I use, one is a dormant account and one I have no knowledge about. I have tried speaking to dropbox support but they have asked me for a reference which my bank have confirmed is not attached to the transaction. Dropbox have said that there is nothing they can do to trace the amount (my bank has confirmed that Dropbox are the beneficiary). I am worried that they will take another big payment out for this account in September. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance78Views0likes3CommentsWe can't find which Dropbox subscription we're being billed for to cancel it.
Hi All, I work for a company and we have noticed Dropbox subscription coming from our bank account. No one knows what this is for or who has signed up to it. So I am looking to find out who has signed up to it within the business and cancel it. I can't log into the account to cancel as we do not know any user name or password. Can anyone help? I tried contacting support but they wanted me to pay to get support from a human! Thank you38Views0likes3CommentsHow can I cancel a personal Dropbox subscription?
I have had a Basic Plus plan for many years and get billed monthly. Recently I discovered that my plan was downgraded to Basic back in January (something to do with a new laptop I purchased). I want to cancel but don't know how to proceed since no billing info show under the account now.51Views0likes3CommentsTrying to cancel subscription but no longer have email access
I am being charged recurring payments for a dropbox associated with a work email I no longer have access to. It's from a few years ago so I can't provide the answers to the alternative verification questions, but obviously can confirm payment details. Please can you assist me in cancelling this subscription. Many thanks Donna40Views0likes1CommentI cancelled my in-app Dropbox trial, but my account hasn't been downgraded yet.
So like the title says, my free trail for Dropbox plus ends in June 20th(which is today) and I forgot to cancel yesterday June 19, I subscribed to the trial through my iPhone on the App Store so today June 20th at 1:30am(which was the time I remember I had to cancel😅) i canceled my free trial hoping I wasn’t charged. As I cancel the trial I noticed that my account still has all the Dropbox plus features, and when I checked my account it said my free trial was still active, and when I went to my purchase history at the App Store, there’s no billing invoice from drop box and I haven’t received a receipt from the App Store saying I was charged. Can you guy let me know what’s going on? Was I charged? Does my free trail end at the start of June 20th? Or at the very end of June 20th which is 11:59pm?32Views0likes1Comment
