dropbox business
62 TopicsI have an issue accessing my files as they're greyed out. Can you help?
I tried to upload a video to Dropbox yesterday and ever since I cannot even view my files/folders via my laptop. I cannot even write a ticket to support. the only link on the site that leads me anywhere is the dropbox business link (kind of ironic that you can ALWAYS upgrade). To explain further, I cannot even see file folders, just grey rectangles. I CAN save things to dropbox via ny laptop AND I can access my files with my phone and the dropbox app but not through my laptop. I'll spare you my rant about writing tickets being the only means of communication available. Any ideas, I'd appreciate the help?Solved17KViews0likes9CommentsDropbox Business: Can't see team folders from applications with Dropbox access
Hi Dropbox Forum, I'm a Dropbox Business user. Everytime I use any program with access to dropbox, I can only see the personal folder (the purple one). I need access to the team folders (the blue ones) so I can get files that's shared within our whole team. Some of the programs are Backpack Studio, Synology, Akeeba backup and, from one of the big developers, Premiere Rush by Adobe. Can anyone help me with this issue?Solved9.8KViews2likes17CommentsiOS app won't show business folders
I've just upgraded from free accounts to Dropbox Business. My team had access to some shared folders and we use a 3rd party iPad app (Documents by Readdle) to sync the folders and display the content. - We have heavy PDF usage and the way Dropbox app on iOS changes pages on a PDF isn't suitable (scrolling rather than viewing page at a time). So as I have logged in to Dropbox through the 3rd party App (Documents) I find that it will only show my one personal folder and not display any of the shared business folders. Photo below is the dropbox app on iOS - personal folder in purple is the only folder that shows through to Documents app once linked. It won't show any of the 4 other business folders. k documents app syncs to dropbox via app login but then comes back and returns only the folders in the first 'personal' folder that I have. I've tried several other iOS apps - PDF Expert (also by Readdle), Polaris Office, WPS Office - all have the same sync issues. The iOS 'Files' app shows all the folders properly - BUT it doesn't display PDFs the way I need them to. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I changed over not realising this would be an issue and I'm going to have HUGE issues if my team can't show PDFs properly to clients tomorrow.Solved8.8KViews0likes13CommentsUnable to view trash can files
Has anyone run into an issue with being unable to view any deleted files in the trash can? It's been 1 week since I upgraded to Dropbox business and since day 1, when I click on the trash can I see a spinning circle. No files display at all. I opened a support ticket which is going on day 6 with no current resolution. Dropbox is looking into the issue but I wanted to know if anyone in the community has experienced this problem. It seems very odd to have the problem after upgrading from Dropbox pro.Solved7.4KViews0likes5CommentsHow to get the current folder structure Dropbox for Business
Hello Dropbox community, I am currently new in an organization and they wanted me to audit the current Dropbox folder structure that they have. One of the requirements that they asked me is to generate a report: 1. All Files and Folders created, owned and shared by the team. 2. To whom were these files was shared. Would there be any easy way to generate this report in Dropbox? Intention is to check current setup/structure that they have from that report we would come up on how to improve and organize our data. Thanks.Solved6.1KViews0likes4CommentsMonitoring file download by team members

Hi We have a business account with several Tb of data, and as an Admin on our account I have been asked to provide a download/backup of all folders and files to an external drive (this is something we are going to do annually). As an Admin can I do this for all folders or only the ones that are currently shared with me? ThanksSolved4.4KViews0likes10CommentsIs there a way to track shared files?
Hi. I have shared a dropbox file with a number of colleagues (they can view not edit, sharing is not locked), however one of these individuals have shared it with an unauthorised person. Is there any way to track who is responsible for sharing the file? Hello, when I started my 3 TB DropBox business trial last month I was under the impression I would be able to back up all my photos (over 1 TB) from my iMac desktop computer (not from my iPhone, which only holds a fraction of my photos). I have searched endlessly, please help. System: iMac desktop/OS Mojave 10.14.6. My photos library is located: Macintosh HD > users > home (my name) > Pictures (folder) > Photos Library. I also have other folders of photos that are not in Mac photos in there. See snapshot below: What I am doing: I am going to DropBox on the top bar of my computer > to my icon > preferences > backups > manage backup. Photos/Pictures is not a folder option. The only options are: Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, and Movies. I also tried going to my icon > preferences > sync > choose folders, and I get the same options I just mentioned above. I appreciate any and all assistance. Thank you kindly. LTDTMSolved4.1KViews2likes7CommentsIssue with Linked Work and Personal Account and Smart Sync
I have my Work and Personal accounts linked with a Plus account, but wanted to upgrade my Work account to Professional so that I'd have Smart Sync. Aside from the increased space, I mainly want to upgrade from Plus to Professional to have the Smart Sync feature on my Work account. However, when I upgraded to Professional, it applied it to my Personal account instead of Work. On my Macbook, I can use the Smart Sync for my Personal account, but my Work account does not have the option (only Selective Sync option is available). Anyone else had this issue? Other notes: I have a team folder that I use with my Work account that was setup when I used a trial of Dropbox Business, but ended up cancelling after my trial, yet the Team folder stayed. I don't need that "Team" folder necessarily if it matters or affects how Dropbox views my account in regards to Smart Sync. I have only one other person I work closely with, so I can't justify Dropbox business for $45/mo, when really all I need is 1 Professional account for me, and 1 Plus account for my partner ($30/mo). Thanks for the help in advance!Solved4KViews0likes7Comments
