62 TopicsAre "Team Paper Docs" related to the new release of Dropbox Paper?
Hello! Long, long time Dropbox user, first time community poster. We noticed that a new "Team Paper Docs" folder appeared at the top level of our Dropbox team folder, in the middle of the night when nobody works. Looking at the forum, I'm guessing it's similar to the people who have seen "Migrated Paper Docs" folders appearing (like this post: https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001017/unknown-folder-appearing-migrated-paper-docs/805075). None of our team uses Paper, but it's possible someone added a Paper file to a particular client folder in 2020/2021 but since deleted it. (the one folder inside "Team Paper Docs" DOES correlate to a project folder) In short, if this folder appearance is part of the long-standing Paper2020 update I've read about and this is normal, I would just like to confirm! While I'm not opposed to account password updates, I just want to ensure this isn't likely the result of a user's account being compromised or something. Thank you!Solved1KViews0likes7CommentsCan't see online only folders on the desktop PC, after reinstalling the app.
One morning I woke up to a "disk full" error on my pc. For whatever reason, Dropbox had decided to download my entire Dropbox to my pc. I stopped the syncing and uninstalled Dropbox app. Restarted and re-installed the Dropbox app and selected only a few folders to store on my hard drive. Completed the setup, but now I only see the folders that I selected on my desktop app. Before Dropbox decided on it's own to download the entire folder, I was able to see online only folders (everything). Why now can I not Did I do it wrong during set up? Device (Mac Studio Ultra M2) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Sequoia 15.6.1) Dropbox App Version/Browser Version (232.4.5926 Question or Issue My team is dead in the water on this, would appreciate a prompt reply. There are many threads about opening a local-synced After Effects (AE) project, footage that is not synced (avail offline) will show as missing. (Unlike QT etc.) even though AE calls for the file, it doesn't automatically initiate a sync. I have always had this problem, and its awful, but My new problem in the last week is far worse: In the past I would open my AE, hunt down ALL the missing footage sync it, but DONT relink it, THEN re-open the AE file. Huge pain. But it worked. Now footage that was missing, but that I then synced, and re-opened is not being recognized 'file damaged or corrupt'. Even importing that clip to a new project. The ONLY ways to import is to rename it, or copy to a local drive. Then it imports fine. (except I have hundreds of footage files in different locations) I have not updated my AE, so I suspect it is a change with Dropbox. IMPORTANT: The problem seems to only be with footage that AE attempted to link to - but found it wasn't synced. I do not have this problem with a new clip, that was never in the project.72Views0likes1CommentHow can I open a folder directly in the Admin Console from the All files tab?
Please add a button to the standard Dropbox folder view on the website to open that folder in the admin console. It's annoying when you get sent a link to a folder that someone needs changes made in - such as permissions - and you have to open the admin console and navigate click-by-click to that location. Would be much more convenient if there was an option to open the folder you're looking at in the admin console instead.Solved173Views0likes3CommentsDon't delete folder info and provide an export option for the data
I manage a business dropbox account. Our team utilizes the folder info function and have a lot of information there. I was just made away that this function is going away in 2 weeks!! We need either this function to remain or a way to export the data asap.133Views1like3CommentsRight click menu in File Explorer is missing option to open file in browser
There used to be an option to open a file in Dropbox in your browser, but for some reason it's disappeared: I can copy the Dropbox link and paste it into my browser to view it that way, but it's way less convenient than it was before. I don't see why this option would have disappeared and am wondering if it's a bug or intended. I have ran the Dropbox installer to update it, restarted the computer, and made sure that Dropbox in my browser is signed in, but the menu options remain the same.Solved1.5KViews0likes8CommentsDropbox modified filter for folders doesn't show modified date.
When I view my files and folders in my Dropbox account online, the "Modified" sort column will not show dates for any folders in my account. The column only shows two hypens for each folder instead of a date. The "Modified" column will show dates for FILES, but not for any folders. (I actually have 2 Dropbox accounts, and this problem happens in both of them). If I right click on a folder and choose "Folder Info," the correct Modified Date is shown in that popup for that folder, but for some reason it's not populating in the Modified column in the list of folders. I also suspect this is causing an issue on the file sync with the Windows desktop app, because my folders that I sync to my PC through the desktop app are not pulling the "Modified" date from Dropbox and are populating with today's date instead. The FILES I sync, however, do come through with the correct date applied.Solved955Views2likes6CommentsLegal Holds - is there a 'download all' button?
I'm doing my first Legal Hold in Dropbox. Got the data showing OK, but when I go to the 'download this export' popup there's a list of 73 zip files...and no option to 'download all'. Do I really have to go through them all, every time?653Views0likes3Comments
