Hi, I've had a Basic plan with 10.4GB of storage for years. I got an unexpected email yesterday saying I'm "back on Dropbox Basic" because my admin took no action on a free trial. I didn't sign up for a free trial, and I've never been paying. Any idea why I lost 3GB of storage capacity? How can I figure out what happened and how to fix it?475Views0likes21CommentsI received an email stating I've used all my promotional space, but this isn't the case.
I received an email from Dropbox this morning that basically contains lies. Now I know misinformation is becoming the norm over the pond, but I'd like to think that here in the UK we can keep a reasonable amount of truth in our communications. The email (below) claims I have used all of the free 100GB Dropbox allocated me when I purchased an HP laptop. However, a simple look at my quota used shows that not to be the case. I'd like to think that this is some form of "mistake", but I feel it is a cynical attempt to get those who are not IT savvy to worry they are about to lose information and subscribe to an upgrade they do not need. Anyone else getting these lies sent them??Solved91Views0likes2CommentsGetting emails from Dropbox saying my account is full but it isn't
I've recently received emails which certainly look to be coming from Dropbox, telling me that my allocated storage is full and my files are no longer synching. This is not to confused with other emails received from Dropbox warning that me quota is nearly full and offering upgrade paths. The Dropbox app however, reports that I have used about 8.5GB of my 10.75GB allocation. I have been running Dropbox for many years and in the last 12 months using rather more than I am now of my 10.75GB, but until now, without any issues at all. I can see that several other users have recently reported similar problems; any idea what it going on?141Views0likes2CommentsEmail says I'm out of space and files not syncing, but I have over 500MB left from 2GB.
Got an email saying I'm out of space and asking me to upgrade, now files are not accessible, but account shows space is available, is this a scam to get upgrade fees? Also can't seem to speak to anyone about this, very frustrating, how do I know if I upgrade that it will make any difference?264Views0likes12CommentsReferral status shows "waiting for install" and the recipients can't verify their email address.
I have referred people who have installed Dropbox but on my account it still says 'waiting for install' so I haven't received the storage credit. They have downloaded DB to a separate laptop. There seems to be no way to verify their email (the link on DB to do it just repeatedly comes up with 'error' and a picture of a target and a dart on it).60Views0likes1CommentWhat is Dropbox Analytics?
I have recently had a couple of Emails from Dropbox telling me that the free trial of Dropbox Analytics was about to end and the last one to say that it had ended. I wasn’t even aware that I was on a free trial for this product. It also states that I cannot now add new files to my Dropbox although I can access existing files. I pay annually for Dropbox Plus so why are Dropbox saying that I now can’t add new files?271Views0likes3CommentsHow can I resend referral links to people?
Hello, Some years ago, I invited a bunch of people to install Dropbox with a view to earning extra storage space. Some did but many did not. Of these, I want to re-invite some who may now install Dropbox. But I'm unable to send a new invite - 'XXXX has already been invited'. How can I send such persons another invitation if they have not yet installed Dropbox?83Views0likes1CommentI'm told I'm running out of space, but I have no files on my Dropbox account.
Received this email from dropbox. I have a basic account with nothing in my Dropbox folder "A quick note: We’re reaching out to notify you of your limited Dropbox capacity" Why am I getting this message. George119Views0likes3CommentsI keep receiving emails about being over-quota, but there aren't any files on my account.
I receive emails from Dropbox telling me my Basic account has reached its limit; however, when I log into my account there are no files there. I have searched in all folders, there is nothing there. I have also tried to locate these files using my laptop account and there is nothing there. I cannot respond to their emails because it's from an unmonitored mailbox. I cannot call Dropbox because I have the free edition, and their free customers aren't treated with the same care as their paying customers. How can I resolve this if I cannot speak to a live person about it? I'm tempted to reach out to our state's attorney general to file a complaint. This is just bad, bad business.70Views0likes1Comment
