I have 2FA set up so it says I need to enter the code sent to my old email account when i try to log in. However, the company which set up my email address I used no longer exists. I cannot log in and change my email (as the bot so unhelpfully suggests) due to the 2FA. I will be billed unless I cancel the subscription.65Views0likes1CommentI can't access my paid account because the email address is expired; how can I get a refund?
So I have an old email that has expired. I didn't even know that my associated Dropbox account was still active, but it apparently is because I have a charge on my credit card for the $119 renewal fee. That's a lot of money for something I can't even use, much less want at this time! Pulling out my hair because I have no way to sign in and no way to get a refund. It is ridiculous that there is no way to talk to an actual person to resolve these issues! I looked at the support page for billing and there was nothing that I could find regarding this particular issue. Very frustrated and would appreciate some help!152Views0likes7CommentsReceiving emails about paid account being shut down - how can I make sure the account is safe?
I am writing on behalf of my parent, who have been receiving emails about the shutdown of their (German) account and I am looking for help on this, as they are worried and I find it difficult to manage for them from a different country. The account (same account, same username) is in fact now paid on a monthly basis and no longer per annual direct debit, but it is done via iOS Appstore. They are worried that they will lose their ability to continue using it. Can you please furnish me with a direct private contact email so I can forward the email and explain further including account details. I am sure that this is about a disconnect in your database, but I will need to be able to confirm to them that their account is safe to use.Solved80Views0likes2CommentsI received an email about the discontinuation of the Dropbox Send and Track feature. Is it real?
The email was just sent to my inbox; partly stating: âAfter careful consideration, we will be discontinuing Dropbox Send and track as of March 31, 2025. This includes sending files as well as tracking analytics for those files. â IF THIS WAS INDEED SENT BY DROPBOX; please explain - since Iâm paying way too much money to have any of my files deleted!!!289Views0likes5CommentsI can't cancel my plan; a verification code is sent to my inactive email address.
I can't cancel my subscription plan because the email associated with the account no longer exists, it was an email from my university and it's now deleted so I can't sign in and I keep getting charged for the subscription for years. I know the email and password but I couldn't log in since I could not get the verification email. I want to cancel the subscription but I could not find any way to reach a support. What should I do?74Views0likes3CommentsFamily member getting 'dropbox full' emails
I upgraded my 2TB plan to a Family plan and added my spouse who had the basic free account on their own. They joined the Family Plan and their email address shows up in my settings as being a member. They continue to get emails saying: Your 2 GB Dropbox Basic account is out of storage. Do they need to "close" their previous account? Ignore the emails and use the Family plan folders? The emails are annoying them and I'd like to get this fixed. Any ideas welcomed. Thank you.113Views0likes4CommentsCan billing invoices of a personal account be sent to a third party email?
I manage payments for my boss's personal dropbox account. We need to set up her account so that billing invoices are emailed to my email address, as opposed to hers. There are posts on this forum addressing the question of how to have invoices emailed to a third party in a Dropbox Business Advanced Account. However, I have not been able to find a post that addresses emailing invoices to a third party for a Dropbox Personal Account. Is there a way that invoices for a Dropbox Personal Account can be automatically emailed to a third party email address?I need our invoices automatically emailed each month to someone who doesn't have a Dropbox account.
Can you please add the ability to set up an automatic email of our monthly invoice to our book keeper. Also, the book keeper is not a member in our Dropbox, as they don't need to be. They just need the invoice emailed to them - that's it. This is my second time requesting this feature. The first time you just closed my request without providing an answer or solution. This is terrible customer service IMO. This request has also been submitted by other DB members - I've seen the threads asking for this and the response from DB that their requests will be closed - terrible! I DON'T WANT TO DOWNLOAD MY INVOICE!!!! I want my invoices to be automatically emailed to my book keeper each month. I (like many) am extremely swamped with work and I don't have time to login and download invoices for my book keeper every month. This is an extremely inefficient workflow and it requires me to be a middle man. How long does the DB community have to wait for such a feature to be deployed? Please do not reply with instruction on how to download my invoice - I know how to do it because I am FORCED to do it every month.167Views3likes1CommentRefunding after trial period (UK), no confirmation email received
Hi all, I have just cancelled the yearly Essential today. Now my Dropbox plan is basic. During the cancelling process, I was informed that I should receive a confirmation email about my cancellation and that Dropbox would refund me through my payment card. However, after 5 hours, I have not received a confirmation email from Dropbox. My Dropbox Essential has already been cancelled. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to resolve this? Many thanks, Tuan44Views0likes1Comment
