Please add a way to stop audio files from playing instantly, as soon as you open them. On the Dropbox app, using an iPhone, the minute you open the file it starts playing. If you have previously played that audio file and paused it half way through, you can't stop it from playing in time to take it back to the start. We use Dropbox for our choir and keep our backing tracks and sheet music together. During a performance we need to make sure all the files have been returned to the start and we can't have them ready to go to press play.129Views3likes2CommentsThe Dropbox app should have a dedicated backups tab
I hope this message finds you well. I primarily utilize Dropbox to back up my laptop files and maintain a clone copy of my external drive. The service has been invaluable in ensuring the safety and accessibility of my data. I wanted to suggest a feature that I believe would greatly enhance the user experience: the addition of a dedicated tab within the Dropbox app to view backups. Currently, this functionality is only available through the web interface. Having direct access to my backups via the app would significantly improve convenience, allowing me to quickly verify and manage my files wherever I am. I believe this feature would be beneficial not only to me but also to many other users who rely on Dropbox for comprehensive file backups. Thank you for considering this suggestion. I appreciate the continuous improvements you make to Dropbox, and I look forward to seeing how the platform evolves. Best regards, Jesus E.224Views2likes6CommentsSupport send to iPad/iPhone in preview markup
Normally when I take screenshots on my mac I can send the image to my iPad and markup the image on my iPad (without needing to save the image to my iPad). I find this really useful as I can markup my screenshots with Apple Pencil. It would be super handy if Dropbox screenshot markup supported this also.17Views1like1CommentImproved MP3 Player: Play Audio While Viewing Sheet Music or Documents
Hi there, (for iPad/iOS and general) It would be great if the MP3 player could be displayed side-by-side (for example, in a side panel), so that MP3 files can play in a built-in player while a PDF or other document is open at the same time within the Dropbox app. This would be extremely helpful for musicians and similar use cases. Also, please ensure that basic MP3 playback options are available (some may already exist), such as play once, shuffle, and loop. For my workflow, “play once” would be the most important feature. Thanks a lot! (using iOs, iPad App)53Views1like2CommentsSave Offline Folder Link to Home Screen on iOS
I want to be able to go directly to a single offline folder directly by clicking on an icon on my Home Screen on iOS just like I can add (share) a URL from Safari to my Home Screen. One click on an icon on my Home Screen takes me directly into a specific folder in Dropbox folder.135Views1like3CommentsAdd "starred folders" option to “Save to Dropbox” menu on iOS.
I use Dropbox a lot, every single day at work. I have to upload plenty of photos from my phone (iOS). And every time, when I choose photos, than “Save to Dropbox”, and now I have to choose folder from the very beginning of structure….every time. (3 recent folders doesn’t help really well because every time I have to upload to a different folder). so, it will be great, I’ll make you a Monument if you add a least “starred” folder to the “Share menu” (for example: at the very top “Starred folders”, than “Recent”, than the rest…) or, if it hard to perform with “starred” folders…let’s do another “marker”…any. just please give us an opportunity of quick access to chosen folders. Me and my crews will really appreciate it, now lots of guys who experience the same pain😆 Thank you in advance!146Views1like2CommentsIt would be great to have a 1.75x option for playback speed of videos on the mobile app (iOS).
All major video platforms like YouTube, Wistia etc have 1.75 x speed also. Sometimes 1.5 is slow and 2 x is fast and hence 1.75x is idea for videos. So when I am watching the Dropbox video on my iPad it does not have 1.75x speed. Would be great to have this speed.459Views1like6Comments
