Hi, I've bought a new iphone ( last one get destroyed in an accidend) so I'm trying to log in into my Passwords account but I'm unable to do it. I've tried via my dropbox account but then it try to send a notification to my old Iphone... guess what... then I've tried via the 12 recovery words but nothing. Is it possible to find another way or to receive on my registered dropbox and Passwords email the 12 words again ? thank you in advance! Hi, the current solution for Dropbox Password App for iOS is very unsecure as anyone that know the iPhone password can easily access to the passwords wallet. This is the case i.e. when someone has to provide its iPhone to a service center for a repair and he/she has to provide the iPhone password to the technician. Some other Apps have a master password which is different from the iPhone one, so all passwords are securely protected. I think this is a must feature, otherwise the app is very, very unsecure... p.s. this is not the case for the desktop version, which already has a master password.34Views0likes2CommentsI can't use Dropbox Passwords on iOS - it keeps asking me to upgrade to Plus first.
Hi, I currently have a Dropbox basic account, however when I try to open the Passwords app on my iPhone it wants me to upgrade to Plus. My understanding is that you can still access Passwords with a Basic account. It jumps to the 'You're all set!' window however when I select 'Continue' it then reverts back to the 'Upgrade to Dropbox Plus to use Passwords' window. Please advise. Many thanks, MattSolved805Views0likes12CommentsI'm not receiving the notification to verify my Passwords account on my iPhone
I have Dropbox Plus with 2 TB of storage. I've been using Dropbox Passwords on one PC with Google Chrome browser and on my iPhone (14) with no real issues. That PC had a coffee incident and is in for repairs. I took the opportunity to buy a new (additional) PC. I'm trying to instal the Chrome extension for passwords on the new PC. It says it's sending a notification to my iPhone and the original PC for me to acknowledge. As far as I can tell that notification never makes it to my iPhone (I don't have the other PC at present to check. Then I try using Recovery Words - I can access them from the settings in the Dropbox Passwords app on my phone. I enter all 12 words very carefully and get told "Something went wrong, please try again". No amount of trying solves the issue.Solved1.2KViews0likes3CommentsCan't sign in to Dropbox App on iPad mini (OS 17.4.1) using single sign on.
I'm trying to log into my organization's Dropbox App on my ipad mini running OS version 17.4.1. I've been able to log in previously, so I don't know why I can't now. I open the app, enter my organization email address, and I'm taken to the Single Sing On page in Safari. I log in through SSO and a box comes up that says "Dropbox wants to complete single sing-on. You will be signed in as [organization email]". When I select "Allow", I'm asked if I want to open the Dropbox app, which I say yes. The Dropbox app reopens, says "loading" for a second or two, and then goes back to the log-in page with my organization email listed. I'm able to use my gmail account to log into my personal Dropbox so this seems to be an issue with Single Sign On. I tried deleting Dropbox and re-installing it, restarting the ipad, clearing Safari's website data. Nothing is working.2.6KViews0likes9CommentsWhy was my 2FA disabled after logging into the iOS app?
I tried to log in to the iPhone mobile application yesterday, and was presented with 2FA. I entered the codes which came up invalid. I went back and tried another password which then worked and logged me in immediately. Overnight I have had someone try and access my gmail account using the password that I first entered on the mobile application. And upon logging in to Dropbox I can see that I do not have 2FA enabled. Is the iPhone app compromised?!?Solved1.4KViews0likes6CommentsCan I access the mobile Passwords app with a passcode instead of facial recognition?
I successfully use facial recognition to log in to Dropbox Passwords on my iPhone - what if my face is covered (say by a cast...)? There doesn't seem to be a way to access via password or passcode.348Views0likes1Comment
