I've already search online and here but I can't find a solution. I've deleted by error the "camera" folder on my android phone (S23 Ultra). I still have all photos in the dropbox folder named "Camera uploads", but when I click on the "..." of the folder and "duplicate" I can't find the phone's folder to copy again the files on my phone. I've found online also that I could use the option "Save on device" but unfortunately I don't have that option :( The only option I get are: - Share - Manage access - Make available offline (enables) - Remove from Special - View in folder - Rename - Duplicate - Move - Delete Can someone help me to restore the folder on my phone ??? Thanks in advance Alfredo280Views0likes10CommentsI deleted my Dropbox folder and all files on my iMac are wiped
Hey everyone, I'm having quite the conundrum. For a few months, my iMac has been having space issues lately. So I've been uploading large video files, syncing, etc, to my dropbox, I pay for the large space TB one. THEN I deleted them, hoping it clears my space up on my iMAC. Somehow, a day or weeks later the storage that was temporarily cleared APPEARS right back, though not necessarily apparent to me in the same folders. But the space is TAKEN back again. I stopped autosyncing to dropbox in february due to space functionalisty issues, imac notified dropbox I was low on space and that it was best to conserve energy/storage. EVEN though I'd been deleting the files that I l uploaded to DROPBOX after they'd finished uploading... Anyways, YESTERDAY my iMac had 1GB remaining of space, crazy YES, I know. I decided to stop editing on my iMovie, which was barely working and delete the DROPBOX folder and the extra video files by placing them in the trash. I ONLY place those two things in there and press DELETE/EMPTY TRASH. It loads, showing how many files are being loaded and time remaining, then it shows TWO dropbox segments deleting. The number goes from 1,000-5,000-then over 200,000 files, that I DIDN'T even know my computer had on it... It won't let me click off to stop the deletion... then my DESKTOP gets deleted, I can't even screenshot because the desktop doesn't exist ANYMORE to save a screenshot on it. Then my download finder folder is deleted and has a ? mark in it's place. I couldn't even download files from my emails, because downloads did NOT EXIST anymore. Why would APPLE allow DOWNLOADS and desktop to just be DELETED?? I called apple and email dropbox for help. I restore some of the files partially with an iMac backup in my DROPBOX. Suddenly downloads finder folder is back on my iMAC but ONLY allowed with dropbox permission now. Also all my iMovie videos are gone and show empty blank blue and grey icons or screens, I can open them, but NOTHING is in there. I've tried to restore my photobooth library, it's in the dropbox cloud, and it wont let me click on the icons to even add them to be reconnected as a library. I talked to Apple Support AGAIN today, nearly an hour, and they said that it's a dropbox developer issues at this point. ALLEGEDLY. Has anyone every experienced this? I'm sad and need my files back, of family, my YT videos and more are all gone. Any advice? I need it. Thanks.198Views0likes6CommentsHow can I download and restore my external hard drive backup data?
Hello Dropbox Team! I backup up an external hard drive with backups beta and my disk failed, and now I have to download all in badges to recover all my disk information, could you please add an option to restore a backup directly to the disk or maybe add the option of having the backup on the Mac finder to just access the files there and copy them to my new external hard drive ?3 months after subscription cancelation, all my files were uploaded and I cannot retrieve them.
I have a Mac. I have canceled my subscription to DropBox a few months ago, but I left my files in the dropbox folder. A few days ago, all the files were uploaded and are not available offline anymore and they do not seem to download, how can I retrieve them offline? On top of that, I get this message that my files represent nineteen hundred time my limit and that my files may be deleted. But I never asked for them to be all sucked online in the first place. This is distressing. Help would be very welcome, thanks,67Views0likes2CommentsAll my photos and videos are gone.
Today I found out that all my photos in Camara Uploads folder are gone. I checked the history but no log indicating any delete of files. Strangy enough, I still able to see the all the pictures on my phone now. Can anyone help me on this issue?91Views1like1CommentView prior contents of enclosing folders
I'm a novice in terms of using Dropbox for anything other than syncing my devices. So this question is probably a Dropbox 101 type. I'd like to view several folders at different points in history. Within the past 30 days. I thought I found the applicable help suggestion but it didn't work. Thanks for any help.201Views0likes9CommentsSome of my files show up as zero bytes
When I save file, the file will appear in my DropBox, but when I open it the file is completely blank or only kept an older version of the document. I realized some of these "saved" items are being saved as Zero bytes. I am not sure why this is happening.Solved34KViews0likes91CommentsCan't restore data from an old external device backup
When I look at DropBox with on the web, I can see that I have two external device backups named "Shared Data" and "Ventura ...". When I look at the backups using the app, I can only see one device backup With either of the backups, I can see no way of restoring them to a new machine. I do not have the original external device. With the "Ventura ..." backup I can see the files and download them as there are only a handful of them and then can be zipped. The "Shared Data" backup is 128GB with a considerable number of files and folders. It is therefore not feasible to navigate the complete structure, create the folder structure and then transfer the files in a folder and individual zips. Help is appreciated.
