6 TopicsDefault should not be "Remove Local Files"
Most recent Windows desktop update allows users to have files only on the cloud (saving local disk space). Problem is by DEFAULT, the update REMOVES all files locally WITHOUT WARNING (i.e. must have internet access to get to them)! For me, this defeats the reason I use DropBox in the first place, and I could just use the Microsoft cloud instead. I'm really glad I discovered this "removal" before I ended up someplace with NO internet access and NO access to files I need! I had to spend an hour undoing the cloud-only folders I needed locally and wait for all my files to re-sync! The default setting SHOULD have kept all files local and allowed me to select which ones I could tolerate being "cloud only", instead of putting a tremendous surprise burden on all users.79Views1like1CommentQuick View: smaller thumbnails option would be helpful
Hi, folder "Quick view" would be more helpful to me if it could show more thumbnails in its panel. Right now the thumbnails are huge and can only show four. Would be great to have smaller thumbnails so I can see 4x that amount in the right panel. Thanks.110Views2likes3Comments"Recent" Folder in OS Integration
In the Mac and Windows integrations, I would love to have a "Recents" folder that's auto-populated with links/shortcuts to the most recently updated/added items. One use case that I would use all the time: I'm creating an email on my laptop and realize I need to include a photo of something. This usually means going to Camera Uploads and then scrolling to try to find the specific photos (when they're all labeled something obnoxious like photo-yyyymmddhhmmss.jpg by our phones). But if there were a folder that showed the last 20 files altered in our Dropbox account, it would be so much quicker to find the photo I had just taken on my phone.140Views0likes5Comments
