Backup Guard permissions error
Hello, I've tried searching the community for Backup Guard and haven't seen anything, so I apologize if this has come up before.
I've spent a couple of days going back and forth with a representative of Backup Guard (Wordpress backup plugin) about some warnings I was coming across when trying to perform a cloud backup of my site.
I could manually download the backup and upload it to DropBox, but I want it to happen automatically without having to babysit the process.
After some tinkering, the rep said that it looked like it was an issue coming from Dropbox itself, and this is the error:
Dropbox\Exception_InvalidAccessToken: HTTP status 401
When I used an alternate Dropbox account and performed the backup, it worked fine with no issues, warnings or errors.
Ideally, I'd prefer the cloud backups to go to my first Dropbox account, as everything else I am backing up is going there, and it just makes sense to have it all in one place.
My Dropbox account is a free account so I can't even email anyone to get a direct solution or have someone look into this, and preferably resolve the issue on my account.
I will not be upgrading my account, but I'm open to other ideas of what I should do to get this resolved.
Thanks so much.

It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue with a third party application. Please reach out to the support organization for that app for help. If the developers of this app are having any trouble with the Dropbox API itself, they can reach out to Dropbox developer support directly with the relevant technical details.

I thought that was clear in my original message... I was working with a rep from the developer of the plugin about this issue for a few days this week, and that's what he told me - that it's a problem on Dropbox's end.

Please have them contact us directly with the details of the issue then. (The status code itself isn't sufficient.) Thanks!
