The app has reached its user limit

I am developer of an app that uses Dropbox API for storing backups. The app is in production mode and works fine.

But one of the app users cannot link to Dropbox account with the fail message "The app has reached its user limit". User runs the app on Android 6.

What should I do to resolve the problem?

  • My bad, wrong keys used for a special beta release of an app.

    Thank you for the support.

The user limit doesn't apply to production apps, so it sounds like you may accidentally be using a different app key. Can you double check which one you're using against your app registrations on the App Console?

If you need help tracking that down, or if you're definitely using your production app key, please open an API ticket with the details.

Thank you for the quick answer!

Yes, the app is definitely in the production mode. This is the summary from the app console:

    Status: Production
    Permission type: App folder

And there are more than 200 users connected at the Analytics page. By myself I cannot reproduce the problem, but user sent me screenshot of the fail message.

I will follow your suggestion to open an API ticket, thank you.
