.mov video File in Dropbox not Playing on Mac

I uploaded a .mov video file to Dropbox (shot on my iPhone 15 Pro); when I click the link to the video from my iPhone, the video plays fine. But when I click the link to the video from my Mac (macOS 12.7.2), I just get a white screen. Any idea what might be happening? (I did the exact same thing with a much larger video file a few months ago, and had no problem playing it on my Mac.)

    Hey whydavewhy, welcome to our Community! 

     

    Do you preview the file directly from your Dropbox account, or access it using a shared link? 

     

    On your Mac, do you try to open the file using the desktop app, or website? Provided you're using the website, can you try accessing it using a different browser altogether? 

     

    Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!
