I am not techsavy. I know basics like word, excel, etc. I just type my personal data and store them in dropbox. I was clueless yesterday when things went wrong. To my surprise this morning when I took a chance to open an excel file that I stored in dropbox, it worked. Then I tried to open word, note pad and pdf. They all worked. I thank the team for spontaneously coming to my rescue.
How the problem crept in and how it got resolved are mystery to me. One thing that I now notice is all file folder icons, individual file icons and dropbox icon look a bit different than what it was earlier.
Thanks again.

8 months agoHey janardhanan , I moved your conversation to a thread of its own, since your issue is not related to the issue on the thread you posted in originally.
Is the Dropbox app running on your computer at the moment? I'm not seeing the small Dropbox icon in your system tray by the clock in your screenshot.
Can you click on the arrow with the hidden icons, to see if the Dropbox icon is there?
If it is, please hover over it with your mouse and let us know what you see there.
