Can I convert some ".floorplan" files to a file type I can open?
I had a floor plans app that I used frequently, and I saved them on the app but also, luckily, uploaded these files to Dropbox. Dropbox saved them with the file format “.floorplan”. The app I used was inexplicably dropped by Apple, is apparently no longer existent and now I can’t access them there, obviously, but I still have them all - hundreds, probably - in my Dropbox files. The problem is accessing these files, as Dropbox states that I cannot ‘preview’ them and must open them on a computer. However, when I try to do that it yet fails to open. Is there a way I can convert these files in order to view them or save them with another file format? I think the reason is that the files themselves might be 3D files, but I’m not sure. Thank you.

Hey Eggbaby, thanks for taking the time to post here.
I'm afraid that these files cannot be opened or converted through Dropbox.
I would suggest finding some kind of third party app that can either open the files or convert them to a file readable by an app on your computer/phone.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

The thing is, I have exhausted every search query on this, so I figured that since Dropbox created this file format that they would have suggestions on such third-party apps. It just seems unreasonable that Dropbox itself won’t allow you to convert this file format to, say, a .jpg or .png.

Since the files were imported to Dropbox by this third party app you were using, it's that app that created the file format, not Dropbox.
But, I will, of course, leave this thread open in case another user with a similar experience has more info for you and how you can go about this.
