HEIC Convert to JPG doesn't work.
I had followed instructions to change from HEIC to JPG and it was just fine. Recently (yesterday) iPhone issued an update and now my pictures are only showing as HEIC.
I again followed instructions and also went to photos and everything is set to convert to jpg.
What am I doing wrong?
I would appreciate help please!
I did uninstall and reinstall and after calling Apple support (not knowledgeable with Dropbox) and not very helpful, I just started playing around with it. Took a new picture instead of using one in my photos and that worked and now everything seems to be back to normal. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how I fixed it because I don't know that answer!

Hi terri232, welcome to our Community!
Just to make sure we're on the same page here: it sounds like you're talking about our Camera uploads, right?
Did that happen after an OS update, or Dropbox update? Also, do you check the content locally in your camera roll, or inside the Dropbox app? If you have any screenshots, they're more than welcome.
Keep me posted!

Yes it was camera uploads and yes, right after an OS update. I have checked everything and cannot get the conversion to jpg.

Hi terri232, can you clarify the Dropbox version you're using on your mobile?
Have you tried clearing your Dropbox cache -you can do this in the app's settings-, and restarting your phone?
Also, just to make sure we're on the same page: do newly uploaded files show as HEIC when you preview them in the Dropbox app, or old ones too?

The version is 340.2.2 - I have cleared and cache and restarted. Only the new pictures appear as HEIC.

Thanks for checking that, terri232.
If you're on a free Dropbox account, but you don't have more than 3 devices already linked to it, can you also uninstall the app, restart the device and reinstall it, to see if that helps?

I have been searching for hours on Google and on You Tube and have changed every setting that has been suggested but I cannot convert to jpg from heic. I contacted Apple and they referred me to Dropbox stating they couldn't 't help me with a third party app.
Can anyone kindly help me?

What exactly are you trying to do terri232 ?
Dropbox has no control over the iPhone itself - it simply uploads what the device takes.

I am using my iphone 15 photos - selecting the ones I want - uploading to Dropbox. They load in as HEIC and if I change the HEIC to JPG, it does not work. The only way I have found that it does work is to upload to my email which is a total nuisance.
I had problems before with my iphone xs but figured it out - this up to the minute phone should not have problems in this area.
