Can neither "copy to Dropbox" nor download folder from a shared link

I have an Essentials license with 3Tb unused space and 50Gb download limit I believe. Someone has shared a link with datasets in a Dropbox folder. Out of 200 or so folders, 13 I am unable to download saying The folder is too large to download. It won't Copy to Dropbox either. I press the button and there is simply no response. In the shared folder window, there are no options to select a number of folders. There is no way of me knowing how big the folders are. Its unbelievably poor functionality. What am I supposed to do? Is this data simply irretrievable?

hi notafan100 - could you ask the sender to add your email address to the folders directly? That will automatically add it to your Dropbox account (once you accept the share). If you have the Dropbox desktop app, you won't even need to download it, and will be able to work on the files directly from your computer. https://www.dropbox.com/install

I appreciate the update here, notafan100.

Can you try again from a different browser and let me know what you see?

Sure. It starts with the following:

And when I select Copy to Dropbox, I then get no feedback, it just greys out:

On another folder, I try the same and at least after a few minutes it states:

Can you explain why there are restrictions downloading these directly given I should have a 50Gb limit (and these will not be 50Gb zipped), nor can I copy them, despite my account allowances saying I should? Also, I don't get why there isn't function to select a number of folders and download so at least I could get round it that way.

Hey notafan100, thanks for joining us here on the Dropbox Community.

Can you please give us a bit more info on why you can'y use the "Copy to Dropbox" option?

If you could send us a screenshot of any potential error messages, it would help a lot.

    Thanks in advance!
