Hi, I have a free individual Dropbox membership. I'm a member of a local Rotary Club that has a Corporate Dropbox account. I'm able to access documents in the Rotary drop box (e.g. view documents, download document). However, I have not been able to upload documents into the Rotary Dropbox. I keep getting the error message that I need to upgrade my account to increase my storage. I've uploaded documents to other Corporate Dropbox accounts before without having to have a paid membership. any ideas why I'm having trouble with the Rotary Dropbox? Thanks,Solved2.1KViews0likes4CommentsUnable to view shared folders
Shared Folders: I cannot open shared folders (drawings, video, renderings, documents) and keep on getting a message saying :"That didn't work for some reason." There is a picture of a dog with an empty bowl. Previously I had no issues with downloading shared folders. I have upgraded my Basic Package but it still won't work. This might be a simple issue but I would appreciate some help. Thanks!405Views0likes2CommentsThe user I'm sharing a folder with can't open PDFs on their end.
Hi team, Recently I joined a shared folder on dropbox, I use a mac and the original user has windows. Once I move folders and documents (as I do the filing), somehow the windows user can no longer open the pdfs, but they are able to navigate through the dropbox, just not open any documents. Is there a setting I need to change on my mac? How can I fix this issue?1.1KViews0likes22CommentsWrong shared folder owner, how to change it?
Hello, I am new in the forum (not to Dropbox😉 ) and have noticed a strange phenomenon: In my Dropbox[personal information removed per the Community's Guidelines] I have added my father - 99 years old! - as a member, so that he could download a movie made by me. Now he is shown as owner of the box and i am only rw user. Unfortunately I know only one password used by him , and this one does not work for login with his mail address. How can I make me owner - or at least admin - again without killing the whole box? sincerely PeterSolved2.1KViews0likes10CommentsRecently added files do not show up as recent (but are visible when I drill down)
This has been going on for years. I share a Dropbox folder with one other person. When he puts new files in a sub-folder, I get no notifications. ZERO. Not on my phone, not on my laptop. OK, that's annoying, but it's not the *real* issue. Because I haven't gotten notifications for all this time, I check my Dropbox folder daily to see if new files have been put into my Dropbox. I check on my mobile, and also on my laptop. Here's a screenshot showing that the folder "01..." has not been updated since April 18th. Yet, there are NEW files in there. I did not know this, because in addition to no notifications, when I sort by "Date Modified", this folder does not show up on top because it seemingly hasn't been modified. But when I open the "01..." folder, I see the second screenshot In that screenshot, I can see 3 new files were added yesterday (July 10). Why doesn't the folder above show that this folder has been modified? I do realize that I can change the View Options on the folder to allow me to sort by the "date last opened", but that's now that I want. I want to know when new items have been added, or old items have been changed. I reinstalled the Dropbox app on both my laptop and my phone, and the problem still exists. Here's a screenshot from my phone, showing that "Recents" also fails to show me the latest files. In fact, I can't find them *at all* in the recents view, even if I go back to April. BUT, I can find them by going to the specific folder. So to be clear, this problem is not about syncing. When he adds a file to Dropbox, I can see it, IF I KNOW WHERE TO LOOK FOR IT. But all bets are off if I just ask Dropbox to show me the latest files that have been added. Help!!!3.4KViews0likes10CommentsUnable to delete files... which cannot be unlocked
I am attempting to delete some rather large files from my wife's computer so she can update to the latest version, Big Sur, for her Macbook Air. She previously downloaded the files from her minister's Bible study forum on Dropbox. She can easily access them from Dropbox.com, so I thought it possible to delete her dropbox folder. Unfortunately, the files did not go away and the Dropbox folder doesn't show up in Finder. I found a lot of the files by searching for the large Zoom files. When I try to delete these files individually, they are locked and will not unlock. The system says she does not have the appropriate permission. I can't change the permissions. How can I delete these files? Note the following screenshot. The Dropbox folder appears to be located in the Documents folder, but it does not show up; it is hidden and I do not know how to unhide it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. A folder was shared with me (5gb) When I click on the folder to open and (try to) view the files inside - I am given an "error" message: Not enough space. To add this folder, you'll need more space in your dropbox. I have 0 bytes out of 2GB used. Is there anyway I can view the files inside!? Why can't I even "open" the folder. Help please!560Views0likes1Commentjust reading a dropbox folder
hi, I was invited to join a dropbox folder which is to heavy for my account. I am just interested in reading the folder, not editing or uploading something. Is it possible to just read without the need to buy storage volume? And is it possible to read a folder without having a dropbox account, just by opening a link? Thank youSolved672Views0likes3Comments
