"There is not enough space on Dropbox" error when copying files from my Dropbox folder

Question or Issue
I'm trying to copy from Dropbox to a hard-drive and I keep getting this error message.
Hey frozenstein, did you manage to resolve the issue now?
I'm assuming the culprit here might be the space on your C: drive.
Provided that the issue remains, feel free to send me a couple of screenshots of the available space on the drive that you're copying from, and one from the drive you're copying to.

Are the files marked as Available offline or Online-only? If online-only, do you have enough available space on your local drive where your Dropbox folder is located?

Hey frozenstein, thanks for your post.
Apart from what Rich asked, can you also let us know where you're trying to copy these files from and to?
Is it from your local Dropbox folder on your internal drive to an external drive?
Thanks in advance.

At first I wanted to copy on my external hard drive and got the same message. Then I tried copying them on the internal hard drive on another partition, but I got the same message.

Are the files marked as Online-only? What is the status icon on the files? A green check, a white cloud, etc.? How much available disk space do you have on the same drive and partition where your Dropbox folder is located?

All files are green check. I have 136 GB free space on the C drive because thats where it stores all my files, and where I want to copy is 312 GB free space.

Hi frozenstein, could you clarify exactly how you're attempting to copy the files over to the other hard drive, step-by step?

I want to copy some photos, about 165 GB, I select all -> copy and paste over the external hard drive. Takes a while for 31700 photos to appear on the copy message, but as soon as it reaches that number, it says the message I sent above. I tried to copy them on another partition on my local drive, I had the same issue. The problem, I think it's from not having enough space on my C drive where the photos are stored (that is the dropbox folder where it was installed, and I had 130 GB free). So I manually selected some photos where I cut and paste to make up more space to sync the other ones... Initially, some 25000 photos were green checked marked and the remaining ones were still on the cloud, but my hard drive was still indicating 130 GB free space... Anyway, I think that was the issue.
