There's no "View on www.dropbox.com" option in the context menu, when the Dropbox app is paused.
I noticed that the options available when right clicking on a file in Explorer change when sync is paused. In particular it is no longer possible to "View on dropbox.com". This would be useful to me because I sometimes pause sync to keep my laptop running reasonably when my work colleagues update a load of files at once but I would still like to check the latest version of a file (or access one that has been made offline only)
I can still open dropbox.com myself and navigate to the file but it is time consuming.
Is there a way to keep the "View on dropbox.com" menu available?
Hi Peter H.87, thanks for your patience!
I checked internally with our team about this, and it seems that what you described isn't expected behavior.
We're looking closely into this, and will update the thread once we have more news. Thank you!

Hey Peter H.87! Welcome back to our Community.
This sounds like expected behavior, since the Dropbox app isn’t actively syncing to our servers or to your Dropbox account online in this scenario.
It’s also not possible to customize the options you see in the context menu of the desktop app.
However, I’d be more than happy to pass your feedback to our team for you.
Let me know, if you need something else.

Thanks Nancy for the swift response.
It is not syncing to the servers but it is still connected to the internet. One of the remaining options is "Copy Dropbox link" - so the link is available and could be visited instead of being copied, couldn't it?

To clarify something, is the "Copy Dropbox link" option present for all files on your Dropbox app, while syncing is paused, or do you only see it for files you had previously created a shared link?

It's there for all files - I have this when sync is paused
and this when it is not paused
