Choosing File/Folder In Browser Has Changed

While viewing my files in the browser (Chrome)...starting today when I would normally just click once to view or click once to enter a folder, now it's one click marks/selects the file/folder and double click will view or open folder.  I feel like an idiot, for the life of me can not figure out how this was changed and can't seem to find an option to revert it back to a single click.

This was corrected on the server side.  If you are having this issue, you need request a ticket to be put in.  It can not be fixed on the user side.

Hi zp8822, thanks for messaging the Community.

There hasn't been any change to the site to my knowledge.

Are you clicking the filename itself, or the blank space next to the file?

This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay, I'm clicking on the folder name or file name itself- previously this worked like a hyperlink and just opened whatever I was clicking on. Now the only thing clicking there does is activate the check box to the left (I am not clicking the check box or wanting to).

Hey zp8822, sorry to jump in, but could you clear your browser's cache or try another browser and let us know if this persists?

I'm just asking because I just gave this a go and I was able to open all of my files on the website by double clicking on them.

We've already discussed this in the thread.  Recommend going back and reviewing.  But in short...within Chrome, deleting history, going incognito, logging in a different computer and even a different browser (MS Edge) comes up with the same issue.  Though, if I have someone else log in the same computer/browser who also has a Dropbox account...back to 'normal'.  The issue follows the user, not the browser and not the computer.  I feel like we are just spinning our wheels when the same questions are asked over and over.  It's an interesting issue that is documented in the video, though I'm coming to the realization there is no fix.  The 'glitch' is on the server end.  But if you truly have a fix and it's not a silly one like, have you turned your computer on and off...I'm all ears.  But I don't think there is a fix on the user end.

I'm having the same issue as Gregg Hall. I cannot find any way around double-clicking the folder to get into said folder.

The only time the hand shows up is if I hover over the check box next to the folder name. But that is obviously not helpful since checking that box doesn't let me go inside the folder.

I'm also suspecting an issue on the server end. Perhaps the Javascript code has been altered or corrupted?

Hi everyone! I hope you’re doing well.

If you wish, we can open a ticket for you instead and investigate this further, since we’ll have more account visibility this way.

    Let me know.

I'm open to this if there is potential of resolving the issue.  I checked my dropbox account and it's still doing it.  I've been hoping one day I would log on and it's fixed...unfortunately not happening.

    Thanks

    gh
