How can I turn off the preview on the site?

Dropbox apparently introduced new functionality that forces a large preview window every time a file is selected.  The vast majority of time this degrades my efficiency in using Dropbox.  I can't find a way to turn it off.  Please help.  I'm on the website (not the mobile app) using MacOS and Safari.

  • Hello,

You can turn off the feature by toggling the view to "Full Screen" under the Layout menu

How do we disable this completely? No Preview at all?

Hello! The "full screen" option will essentially act as disable the feature completely / have not right panel on your browse screen.

shouldn't be so hard to find this setting, which is not in settings.

There should be a half colored panel where you can opt out of the auto-preview feature on the top right of the header!

Thanks. Unfortunately that interface isn't in Chrome (my default browser). Looks like it is in Safari.

This still doesn't work in Chrome - you don't get the option to turn the quick view off; when you click on "Quick View" nothing happens - it just stays active. Please fix, it is useless the way it is now. Thanks

Thank you for this! Dropbox take note: this feature is incredibly frustrating. I'm so happy I have turned it off!
