How to get the current folder structure Dropbox for Business

Hello Dropbox community,

I am currently new in an organization and they wanted me to audit the current Dropbox folder structure that they have. One of the requirements that they asked me is to generate a report:

1. All Files and Folders created, owned and shared by the team.

2. To whom were these files was shared.

Would there be any easy way to generate this report in Dropbox? Intention is to check current setup/structure that they have from that report we would come up on how to improve and organize our data.

Thanks.

An admin of a Dropbox Business team, can view activity and create reports from the 'activity' tab in their admin console.

There are multiple things someone can view/create an activity report on there.

You can see more info about this in this and this article from our Help Center.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Hi Hannah,

Thank you for the solution you provided. I just want to share I was also able to get what I needed by downloading the folder and running a PowerShell script to see the contents of the folder then export it to Excel.

I couldn't work out how this answers the question of getting a folder structure? I have looked at the available reports and nothing seems to give, what i thought would be a most basic of reports around a simple CSV export of all team folders and sub folders...

Thanks for the nudge here, ShaunT.

The activity reports include multiple actions/activities, which can be filtered by people, content, date etc.

However, I have found this relevant idea on our ideas section, that seems to mirror your request, so you can up-vote it, to show your support.
