Make a full backup to an external HDD of my Dropbox (without using the harddrive on my desktop)
I would like to make a backup of my complete Dropbox. As my dropbox is too large to fix on the HDD on my desktop, I would like to make this backup without first downloading all to my PC, is this possible?

Hi cffcff, thanks for messaging the Community!
Would this be a one-off backup (as in, once every few months), or are you looking to make this a regular backup schedule to the external drive?
This will help me to assist further!

The only way to do that would be to manually download your files from the Dropbox website and save them directly to your external drive, or use a third-party application such as Cyberduck or Mountain Duck to browse and transfer files directly to your external drive.
