The app doesn't allow me to export the selected folder. Why?
Hi, I have a free account and I need to export a file in order to unzip the files within but the app doesn't allow me to export the selected folder. How can I fix the problem?

Can you clarify the platform you're using when trying to export the file in question? Also, what steps do you follow on your end, and do you get any specific errors?

- Frankie73 years agoExplorer | Level 3Hi, I downloaded Dropbox where I downloaded the files from a website. I went to the three dots in the up right angle and when it opened there was the export option (among others) but it was off so I couldn't do anything with it. Do I did something wrong?

Hi Frankie7, when you say you downloaded Dropbox are you referring to the mobile or desktop app?
What is the OS you're using on your end, and what file type are you trying to export? Any screenshots you have are welcome.

Hi Frankie7, if you're trying to export an entire folder, this currently isn't possible via the mobile app. Only individual files can be exported via the app.
If you're instead referring to exporting a single file, please let me know.
