Video download from dropbox wont play
I have a video downloaded from dropbox, but when i play it, it only shows the dropbox icon and no sound. This video was sent to me by somebody else, the file size indicates there is something there, but nothing plays. Any idea? Can this video be recovered? If so, how?
Thanks

Sorry to hear about this issue, haisletjason.
Are you downloading the videos from the Dropbox app on your phone and are trying to play them on your phone, or are you downloading them from our website on your computer?
Are you sure that the download completed successfully?
How large are the videos you're downloading?

Download on computer.
Files are about 45 GB.
I don't get any error and downloaded file is same size as video on dropbox.

Hi haisletjason, does this happen with all of your videos, or only some of them?
What is the file type? Also, do they preview without an issue when you try to open them online?

MP4s
Yes they will preview fine on dropbox.
It also doesn't matter where I download from; mac, PC, work or home. All have issues

Hey haisletjason, sorry to jump in here and thanks for the additional information.
Do you have another media player installed on your devices to test if the files play normally there?

I have tried it through Windows media player, Blender, and apple's move player. All three stop part way through. I could try something else. I do have a copy of davinci resolve I could try

There are four that I know of. They are 734MB, 8.22GB, 14.32GB, 11.22GB, 14.32GB.
I am trying to get them off Dropbox because I don't need them there anymore, but I also don't have them any other place.
I was hoping I could send them someplace else and try downloading them there.

Did you download them all at once? If so, can you try downloading them separately, to see if you get a different behavior?
