Word for Mac doc files with wrong extension cannot be opened in dbx

For some reason my word for doc files have a Scrivener extension added onto them. They were safe to dropbox and I am unable to open them. There are thousands of them.

This would be the expected behaviour - they won't open on the Mac either in Word, they will open in Scrinever. So if you have another Mac without Scrinever they will fail to open there as well.

The only fix to this is to correct the extension to Word.
