Advanced Plan Questions

Hi,

a couple of questions:

1) can I have some folders on the "cloud" not syncronized on the pc ? ( i mean that i will upload manually files on the cloud and restore manually when i need)

2) Users number allowed: "3 or more"  it means that i can have infinite user with different profiles and sync rules ?

Regards

Luke

  • Hi exx

    1) yes - to do that create a folder on your device and then unsync it after it appears online at www.dropbox.com/home using Selective Sync. Then you can just upload to it via the website. OR easier, so they still show on the computer, you could use Smart Sync?

    2) yes you can have unlimited people, but, remember each person costs - so its a minimum of 3 at £18per person per month (I'm UK so your pricing will be diff if you are not) with each extra 'seat' or licence costing another £18pppm

    Hi Mark

thanks for your fast and helpful replies.

all is clear now, confirm me if my idea will work or not.

I would like to have 1 user that share dropbox folders in some pcs and a NAS that copy files to the cloud to a not sync folder, (as well i will have not many data on pcs but i will have safe data on the cloud that i can restore manually if i need)

    Regards

    Luke

Hey Andy Johnn, thanks for posting here!

With Dropbox Business Advanced plans, admins have the option to "sign in as user", which allows them to sign in to a member's account.

They can indeed access and delete files, if they want.

You can read more about the feature here.
