Can't find files I deleted yesterday
Yesterday, Nov. 8, I deleted some files/documents from Dropbox and now today I have them missing from my computer. I looked in deleted files but they are not there. How do I find them? How do I restore them? Please!!

Hi Jeff346, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
If you're not seeing the missing files on the deleted files page, then there's a few possibilities as to why this might be the case:
- The files are on another Dropbox account
- They were on a shared folder you don't have access to any more
- The files were permanently deleted
Could you check these options above and let me know if any are possible.

Hi Jay, thanks for your info. I don't have another account - so that's out. And I do not have any shared files so my guess is that my files were permanently deleted. It has been a very disappointing and frustrating day and I don't want to take it out on you or anyone else, so I will deal with those emotions myself. On the other hand it makes me want to pull the plug on everything Dropbox but I'm pretty sure I only have myself to blame. Sincerely, Disappointed.

To permanently delete the files, you need to do it manually from the site.
If you didn't do this, could you check the events page to see if you're able to locate then missing files, if they were moved elsewhere.
