Can't rotate a video in .MP4 format

I have uploaded a video to Dropbox.
When I try to edit the preview, the following message appears -

This video can’t be edited
Video editing is a new feature and doesn’t yet support editing videos of this codec.

I have followed the suggestions on how to edit and the parameters are within the suggested limits i.e. less than 512MB, lees than 4K etc

but it doesn't make any difference.

I have the latest Version of thee Windows 10 app installed.

Any help would be appreciated as I am trying to rotate the video as Dropbox has saved it with the wrong orientation.

Kind Regards

Thanks for the info, I'd recommend contacting the support team for them to investigate this matter in more detail on their end.

It was a video taken on my phone then was saved to a folder on Windows before being copied to Dropbox. The phone is set to use H.264

    Kind Regards

Hi Trekian, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Dropbox doesn't modify your videos to such an extent prior to uploading.

As the message states, the codec used in the video itself is preventing the Dropbox service from allowing it to rotate the video.  What codec did you use when creating the video?

This will help me to assist further!
