Can't unlock a document
We are collaborating on a document. One editor closed out and saved changes yesterday but the document continues to indicate the person has unsaved changes and will not allow additional edits. We don't want to create a separate document but need to edit.
Yes-communicated with her several times. We ended up creating a separate version because we needed to move forward-thanks for trying to help us!

Hi there, are you getting this message from the Dropbox Badge icon, or is it a message specific to the app in which you’re trying to edit from? - handworx8 years agoHelpful | Level 5
Hi Jay:
When I open the document in my dropbox folder on my laptop, the document has a badge indicating it is locked because another user has unsaved changes, however-the user saved changes and logged out 24 hours previous.

If the Badge is stating this, then that other user has left the document open somehow, perhaps on a different device, or their configuration on their system is interfering somehow, making the Badge report the wrong information. Are you sure that the other person saved the changes in the same document, and didn’t choose ‘save as’ and gave a different name and location for the new file? - handworx8 years agoHelpful | Level 5
