Do not sync a file or folder with another Dropbox in a shared folder

Hello,

I have a question certainly asked a thousand times :

I have been invited in dropbox of friend of mine and I don't wan't to sync 1 or some files or folders of him to avoid to use too much of my account capacity (2 To)

is it possible to exclude some files or folders definitivly without quiting this invitation ?

(I don't talk about my physical sync with my computer)

thanks

No, it's not. If you accept the invitation to the shared folder, you'll get access to all data within the share. You can't selectively choose what to accept.

If you only need access to some files or folders, ask your friend to share only those, or ask him to send you a view-only shared link to the original folder instead. You'll be able to view and/or download the content as needed without impacting your own account.
