Don't remove Dropbox Showcase !

Haven't found anything yet that compares for ease of use and affordability to Showcase yet signed up for Niice 3.0 updates and hope they come through.  I hope the developers of Dropbox are reading our posts and reconsidering their decision to abandon us.  Merry Blissmas. 

I chose my plan based on Showcase. It is a bit like Sharepoint to make simple presentations of documents. Now, all I have for dropbox is a way to share files (branded) but do not have a way to present several files in an orderly way with text. This is seriously functionality that they are removing from Dropbox. Please don't take Showcase away!

I hope and pray that the higher ups with all of the bucks take a moment to read our sharing and passion to share our work via the ease and quality of showcase and reconsider dismantling it.  I have had thousands of views and downloads of my showcase files, quality content viewed and shared with ease due to showcase seamless platform from 60 minute videos to multiple audios ... all to serve the upliftment of fellow man and woman.  where else is this possible?

It looks inevitable with Showcase. 

Has anyone managed to find a suitable alternative?

I tested DropBox Paper again but it does not have the same level of features.

This feature is also the main reason I use Dropbox. Instead of creating a website, I host all of my portfolio work here for businesses and companies to work with me. It is because of showcase that I can SHOWCASE my work to studios and producers. Now if this creature is gone I will have to use another service to design and create a private portfolio or a website -- I was trying to avoid building a website as I already manage 2. 

Smh. At least create Dropbox Portfolios or something. 

I've all but moved over to Google Sites.  It's a little more difficult at first and time consuming, but it works very similarly.  Once the site is published, I've changed the link via rebrandly to look like it's a subdirectory of the website.  

I am in total agreement with Chivers.  Tranfer is not a replacement.  I bought the business account for the Showcase function.  I use it for my business and it is perfect for presenting a lot of visual media, files, and records for my clients.  I'm horrified to lose all the work I put into these.

Thanks dietoself for sharing all those possibilities.  Unfortunately none are quite the fit for my needs but very appreciative of your time in reporting your findings on alternatives.  

MMM77 You're welcome. I really wish I didn't have to go looking at all. Dropbox really pulled one over on us here. I personally will not be renewing my account. I've already got my Synology SAN loaded with 8TBs 👍🏻. I honestly think that Niice is the best alternative but I don't know how they're gonna bridge the pricing gap. Also Invision Boards would be another good alternative. In the end though it looks like I'll be changing my workflow.
