Dropbox Desktop App and Syncing/ deleting content from my account.
I download all my files to my computer but it keeps syncing/or being kept in Dropbox for some reason so any FOLDERS that are either shared with me from clients or of mine own keep having files deleted when I clear large downloads or any downloads so when I upload them to the Dropbox Folder after downloading they show up in Dropbox but then get deleted when I clear space on my mac. This has caused serious issues with documents/images being lost. How do I un-sync this or how can I use Dropbox on my computer through my finder as it is so convenient? But be able to access all folders shared with me or in my own Dropbox - without worrying about deleting large downloads etc from my mac. I don't get why it does this/has this feature?
Thanks!!

Hey G2Virtual, welcome to our Community!
Let's take this a step at a time. You mentioned that you downloaded your files to your device.
Did you download your content using the website, or did you sync your content using the app?
You mentioned that files get deleted when you "clear large downloads". Do you mean that you remove content off of your Dropbox folder?
If so, then it's expected for content to be removed from your account online too, since the Dropbox folder is a syncing reflection of your account online.
You can always use selective sync, in order to locally remove any folders you don't want taking up space to the device.
I'll be waiting for your updates!
