Dropbox Finder Extension not showing correct status
I recently had the Dropbox Finder Extension show some items in my Dropbox as available. Not synced. I restarted Dropbox. No change. I quit the Dropbox Finder extension. That didn't help. I quit ...

Hello!
Some files and folders in my Dropbox in Finder show "Make online-only" as the only option, but some files and folders show both options.

9 months agoThanks for clarifying! For the files that only show the “Make online-only” option, you can choose that one, and once they’re online-only, you can right-click on them again and select “Make available offline” instead, in case you want them fully synced to your desktop app.
Let me know, if that helps.

I didn't have this problem before yesterday. Default behaviour for syncing is keep available offline. I have not touched it at all.
Is it safe to select all the items in my Dropbox and try to mark them “Make available offline?”
Is there any other way to fix this so it doesn't happen again?
Also, is there a way to get the syncing status back in Finder for Dropbox?

Hi urbanracer34, that's correct, you can right click the Dropbox folder and mark it as available offline, which will then be applied to all files.
You can also make new files added from another device or the website as available offline by enabling this setting in the Dropbox desktop application.
Regarding your earlier query, some files or folders might have both options in the context menu because they were 'Available' as shown in this page.

Looks like I fixed the available offline problem.
This is my last issue: How do I get back the syncing status in Finder?
Jay I still need an answer on this final issue I'm having.
